Daniel Z. got a reaction from paltz.ky in Is it REALLY okay to mix RAM?
They should be fine. BTW those are laptop ram sticks, not desktop

Daniel Z. got a reaction from wolfff in Building a new rig problems
AMD is tried and true, it works very well

Daniel Z. reacted to CommanderAlex in RAM expansion question
You should be able to do that. I've done it before with DDR3 with 2x8GB kits purchased at different times to make 4x8GB total.

Daniel Z. got a reaction from Newblesse Obblige in Is there any difference between 900p and 1080p in terms of gaming?
It's not, 1080p has 144% the pixels of 900p.

Well, I dont think you have mentioned about the cooler you're using anywhere.

Daniel Z. reacted to PlayStation 2 in Desktop APU vs Console GPU
The Xbox Series X and PS5's APUs are better because they're built specifically for high-performance gaming applications in bulk stock. Both have Big Navi-based GPUs (roughly equivalent to the 2080? performance-wise) and 3rd-gen Ryzen cores (essentially what a 3700X would be).
The Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G is not specifically built for gaming applications. I believe it's intended more as a professional application APU with an integrated GPU component sufficient enough to drive a high-resolution monitor with ease combined with some professional applications.
As an aside, the GPU that the 4750G has is damn impressive. The fact that it's a competent 1080p gaming APU is wholly impressive on any level, but especially in a situation where it's just some integrated GPU on an 8-core CPU.

Daniel Z. reacted to Eigenvektor in What YouTuber Has More Employees Than Linus?
To be fair, I don't think state media that "also" has a YouTube channel qualifies as "a YouTuber" (also also, ARD is not state media, it is public media sponsored by a fee to be independent from the state for historic reasons -> WW2)

Daniel Z. got a reaction from zukoarson in Is the E3-1230 V2 enough?
Yes, it is definately enough. What GPU do you have?

Daniel Z. reacted to Fasauceome in Ram running at 1500mhz for some reason
CPU-Z lists the single data rate. DDR is dual data rate so double it. 1563 x 2 = 3126 which is basically 3200.

Daniel Z. got a reaction from jwwagner25 in I need a 3070 so I can complete my pc, I have to get rid on my laptop (dont question that) so I can do online school can someone help
Why do you need a 3070 for school when you don't have a CPU even. A 3070 with no CPU is an expensive paperweight
-
Daniel Z. reacted to WhitetailAni in my gpu fans dont work on bios
Just to clarify:
Your GPU fans don't run while you are in the BIOS, but they do once you start up.

Daniel Z. got a reaction from Azshoka in MX Master 3 or equal
G502 Lightspeed is amazing if you are willing to pay the high price. Will be much better for gaming than an MX Master. The normal G502 and G502 SE are also great but not wireless

Daniel Z. got a reaction from Jet_ski in Series X or a 500 dollar budget pc, what to buy?
Series X, a $500 PC is pretty awful now.

You don't need a 3070 for school, you just want a 3070. Stop being such a spoiled brat: everyone else has a budget as well and everyone else has to wait for the cards just as you. There is no magic way of getting one quick without spending a lot more money.

Buy a splitter so you can have both. Something like this

Daniel Z. reacted to Bombastinator in Try as you might but - new Intel 8-core still behind AMD
So if it’s slower they need to sell it for less than the AMD chip. Ryzen 2 was slower than top end intel for gaming, but ryzen was reasonably close and it was cheaper so it won. It’s a pretty simple algorithm. If you can’t beat them in raw performance, beat them in price/performance. Theres a point where a chip is so slow that won’t work, but if the new intel is at least close they’re close enough to compete. These days all that really has to be done is beat a 3700x with an 8 core. Anything that can do that is competitive enough speed wise.

Daniel Z. got a reaction from DriedSponge in Opinions on the MSI Optix 27" Class FHD IPS Gaming Monitor
No problem. It would be a massive upgrade. I have a 165hz panel and it's a massive step up from 60hz.

Yeah it's a good monitor. Get it if you don't already have a 1080p 144hz display.

Daniel Z. got a reaction from Jacked_Up22 in RTX 3080 Not Performing - help!
Well the game is awful IMO. My performance with a 3700x and 1660 I'm pretty sure is the same or worse than with my old i5 and 1660.
