There are couple reason why id choose AMD over Intel.
-AMD better value for 8 core processors. My r7 3700x is almost as good as i9 9900k in multitasking and over 150bucks cheaper. Yeah it loses 10frames in games but i do not mind.
-Intel has done some bad choices. First the 10th gen extreme processors 6 hours before amd threaripper third gen. Thrid gen threadrippe absolutely crushed them, but this time thay use more power and got more hot.
- Third gen ryzen has pci e 4.0 support for future gpu upgrades and better m.2 ssd's.
- Thrid gen ryzen has more pci e lanes.
 
 
But in laptops its a whole different story.
AMD processors at leat ryzen processors are not that good in gaming laptops compared to intel. But in laptop wihtout dedicated gpu, amd processors shine, since thay have a "decent" igpu.
 

This won't give good statistics, since it's extremely bad as a consumer to simply pick one brand over another.
You pick the right option for your situation.
 
For me that tends to be AMD and I have to admit I may be a fan of them... But it's not always the best option.

Right now, for the value proposition I prefer AMD. Sure I might lose a few frames in a couple games but overall at the quality and detail levels I play at it doesn't matter.

Personally I prefer Intel for my builds because it performs better for my individual use-case (although Ryzen is a great value).

well its still by far not the fastest internet speed in the world...
If you look at the LTT speedtest thread there are people getting 1000 down and 1000 up with 1ms ping
 
Also there are places in the world with 2Gbps now, so google fiber is no longer the fastest consumer internet speed

I don't want hate Best Buy because it's my local hardware store, but I've been ripped off so much in the past years that saying Geek Squad and Best Buy in general is a great place to shop for computer parts would be a lie. It's nice to see someone with intentions of fixing something rather than following what they were trained to say to get the company more money.

Windows has its own performance counters, and are always doing stuff, this is basically a msg saying that ANOTHER piece of software is trying to run while a counter is already running..

You may be able to adapt many of the connectors. The motherboard being locked issue is actually what led me into building my own system. I originally won the Optiplex 790 on Ebay and planned to upgrade it from it's stock state, but then discovered I couldn't even replace the CPU cooler.

If you upgrade the motherboard to a z87 or z97, you will need a new CPU. The Core i5 3570k will only work with a motherboard with the z77 chipset if you want the ability to overclock and will not work with the z87 or z97 at all. The NZXT Phantom is a great case and would definitly support the Corsair H100i GTX and the H100i GTX is a great AiO watercooler.. If you have more money in your budget I would try to find a fully-modular power supply with an 80+ gold or higher power supply...

Yes. I don't think you'd see much difference when it comes to gaming, and the i5 is a bit cheaper.

I LOVE THE FRACTAL DESIGN DEFINE S, however I dislike how the Define S does not have the opening front panel and wont allow me to have any disk drives.

you honestly should be fine. how often do you take off the cooler? 
 
edit: do you have any hardware stores nearby? all screws are the same really, just different sizes. Im sure they will carry them

It will be fine, if you need to take the cooler off you can either cut a slot into the head of the screw, use an extractor or drill it out.

I wouldn't worry. Just leave them as they are if the head ever strips all the way there are tools to remove screws like that. if you plan on changing things often (why you would on a 750Ti is beyond me) you can order the screws online 

H105 has the coloured rings which match the Corsair AF/SP fans, personally its the best choice having a better pump than the H100i and a slightly thicker radiator. I've experienced a H100i pump failure and my H100i CPU waterblock leaked over my motherboard, but Corsair replaced everything in my system. H105 is the way to go; I'm getting like 30C at idle, 50C under load on an overclocked i7-4790k
 
 
To be honest, Corsair link for your CPU is a gimmick. I can watch and manage my i7's temperature and my pump/fan RPMs through Corsair link - even with a non-'i' CPU cooler.

why not the new H100 GTX or whatever its called?
