Stripped some screws...

loganrp

So upon replacing the thermal paste on my EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti, I managed to strip the heads of the tiny screws that attach the heatsink to the cooler... They can still be turned and it's not bad, but knowing they are like that and can get worse and eventually cause me to not be able to remove my GPU cooler from my GPU bothers me... Does anyone know if EVGA can provide replacement screws?

you honestly should be fine. how often do you take off the cooler?

edit: do you have any hardware stores nearby? all screws are the same really, just different sizes. Im sure they will carry them

It will be fine, if you need to take the cooler off you can either cut a slot into the head of the screw, use an extractor or drill it out.

Not often do I take off my GPU cooler.. This past weekend was my first time doing it in the 5 months that this PC has existed. The only hardware store I know nearby is a Radio Shake which is closing/closed...

I wouldn't worry. Just leave them as they are if the head ever strips all the way there are tools to remove screws like that. if you plan on changing things often (why you would on a 750Ti is beyond me) you can order the screws online

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.
