I would also suggest the Hyper 212, and I would also say save some money and go for 1600MHz RAM. The extra speed does not have a massive performance increase unless you're running an APU, and usually the extra cost outweighs the performance gain.

Yeah, that would be nice. Also, now you've got me thinking about backup solutions. I might start spending more on them, as if you lose critical data, a redundant backup solution would be cheaper.

Why don't you just use the BIOS? Motherboard manufacturers actually make it quite easy. This guide may help you:

Guys, I just realized, and correct me if I'm wrong, but that's an H87 chipset motherboard with an i3 3420 CPU.

H87 is haswel which is 4XXX series. Those aren't compatible. Right?

I would say sell your 560, and get the GTX 780. It will be able to push a lot of fps on large monitor setups and will consume less power and have less heat output than a SLI or Crossfire setup.

I would say keep everything but your CPU and Motherboard. As long as your happy with the other components, it would be easier, and you may end up saving money by just upgrading your CPU and motherboard. You could even try and sell the two to get more money, but I doubt you would get that much from them.

It's still a great CPU. I wouldn't spend the money to go to the 3570k, as it is not much of a performance increase. I would say you still have a few years until you really "need" to upgrade.

You will not be able to fit 780 SLI and a 4770k into a $2000 budget. I would say follow this guide:

@MegaDave91 its not a motherboard problem

its a driver and card problem.

Are you only gaming? Regardless, I would say save up and get a GTX 780, if that's possible for you.

Why do you want a gaming laptop? For that budget, you could build a pretty nice desktop PC, and get an ultrabook. Then you would have the best of both worlds with an extremely portable laptop, and also a powerful PC with great upgradability.

What are you going to be doing? For purely gaming, go for AMD, but if you are doing any video editing/ rendering with CUDA, go for Nvidia.

The GPU will perform better with an aftermarket cooler, because it will keep your card cooler, which would allow for a larger over clock. So yes, theoretically an aftermarket cooler design will perform better.

I would definitely go for the 4770k, and the gd65 is a great gaming motherboard.

I would suggest going for an AMD 7950. Once over clocked, it will perform comparably with a 7970, and it has a great price to performance ratio. See some of the performance comparison here:
