friend pc

It's a moderately good build. I'm going to use au.pcpartpicker.com for this to see if you can get it cheaper.

I would avoid "gaming" keyboards if I were you. For that price, just get a mechanical keyboard.

BRB with the PCPartPicker thing.

Looks good, but if your friend can save up for the build some more, I would probably suggest going for an i5 4670k and maybe a 770, but the 760 is a great card.

Guys, I just realized, and correct me if I'm wrong, but that's an H87 chipset motherboard with an i3 3420 CPU.

H87 is haswel which is 4XXX series. Those aren't compatible. Right?

If he has the budget, get an i5 4670k and an h80i, or even a h100i. They will both fit in the case, and will cool the CPU quite well.

Your motherboard and CPU are not compatible.

I suggest this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($208.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Motherboard: ASRock H87M-ITX Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard ($129.00 @ PCCaseGear)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($85.00 @ Scorptec)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($95.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Video Card: Galaxy GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($469.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Case: BitFenix Prodigy (Red) Mini ITX Tower Case ($89.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Power Supply: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($99.00 @ PCCaseGear)

Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer ($21.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Monitor: BenQ RL2450HT 24.0" Monitor ($229.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Total: $1424.00

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

It's more expensive but it includes tax and shipping but it doesn't include the keyboard. Your current CPU/Mobo are incompatible.

But don't trust PCPartPicker. It doesn't have a good selection of Aussie retailers to choose from apparently.
