DSD27
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 GAMING     //     Asus Z87-A   ( undecided )

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K

Ram: Gskill ripjawsx 2x4G 1866mhz CL9

PSU: XFX pro core edition 650w

Cooler: True Spirit 140 BW

Case: Zalman z11 plus     //    Aerocool Strike X advance black    ( undecided, will the cpu cooler fit on both? )

SSD: kingston 60G 300v

I need to know if everyting works good together...

I will not buy a graphics card RIGHT NOW because I will be using one from other pc.

The PSU is sufficient to handle a gtx 770 or 780 in the future?

Also, I have an old hard drive, Samsung HD 322HJ 300G sata 2, is still good to use or will be slow?

thank you all for de answers :)

Everything looks good. I would get the Z11+ and get a Hyper 212 EVO instead. Also I would get the MSI gaming mobo.

I would also suggest the Hyper 212, and I would also say save some money and go for 1600MHz RAM. The extra speed does not have a massive performance increase unless you're running an APU, and usually the extra cost outweighs the performance gain.

Yes, the PSU should be sufficient, but maybe not if you want to run SLI in the future though..

The hard drive is ok, no problem.. But I would suggest getting and SSD for windows and programs. Something like the Samsung 840 120GB ssd might be worth looking at for you! :)

EDIT: dang, didnt see that you had an SSD.. then its all good, that 60gb is a little small in my opinion though, but it should be enough (unless you are using it for cache, then its all good!)

(Comming soon)

it works together fine, all the parts look great.

psu could handle gtx 770 sli,so it's not a problem

will the cpu cooler fit on both?

yes it will,it's only 152mm high,I've seen the larger nh-d14 in the zalman z11.

and I'm fairly confident that the aerocool should be able to fit it.

Also, I have an old hard drive, Samsung HD 322HJ 300G sata 2, is still good to use or will be slow?

if it isn't too slow for you now it should be fine later on.

also since you have an SSD windows should be very responsive.

The hyper evo is cheaper but only for 10 euros less, thermaltake true spirit 140 will not be better in performance..?

I know, but were i'm going to buy they're only 3 euros diference :)

I think he assumed there'd be a bigger difference in price,go for the thermalright it's a great deal for that price.

ok, thank you. Also, can I use one extra fan on it? the mb has 2 cpu fan conectors.

And the fans that come with the case can be recognized or controled buy the msi board / msi software, or they will always run on max? Do I need to buy some 4 pin fans?

according to RWLabs there should be 4 fan clips,so you can run it with up to 2 fans.

and the included fan is a 4 pin pwm fan,so it can be controlled by the motherboard.

And what about the case fans..?

I found out now that I can get Corsair CX 750W, and Corsair TX 650W V2 for the same price of the XFX Pro 650W that I mentioned on the build. Which one is better? I think the corsairs have less pci-e..

yes, people in the comments prefer the msi board, and I like the look, so I think I've decided to the msi one.

ordered :D

I decided to get the XFX Pro 750w instead of XFX Pro 650W, because it was only 8 euros more, and I will be safer if I want to SLI in the future.

When using just one graphics card there's not going to be any kind of bottleneck, right? ( psu not using its potenyial ) ?

(I know that someting like a 1000w psu on a core i3 and and..gtx650 sysetm is considered bottleneck, here the diference is much smaller, but only for safety...)

I went for the Kingston one.

But what do you mean "also" ?  The PSU is not ok?

I meant your choice of psu

why? is too much?

Its the same PSU but only with 100w more. I thought it would be safer to sli in the future, and since the price is almost equal..
