Bluethulhu got a reaction from Floyd Rose in how do i use the pcpartpicker add custom part
It's for an item that isn't listed in the PCPartPicker database. You enter a price and it will add to the total. It's pretty helpful so see how much an entire setup costs, or if you need to buy an unlisted item with a build but don't want to forget it.

Bluethulhu got a reaction from 0ld_Chicken in Corsair Vengeance 2100 or Logitech G930
The G930 is great at first, but after a while it can start to get pretty annoying. Connection loss, won't charge, battery breaking, surround not working, and poor build quality just to name a few. Wireless also may seem cool at first, but be honest with yourself, how often are you walking around your house talking to your friends? It also probably won't reach that far in your house anyway. I get quality issues once I go down one floor. Flat out doesn't work in my living room. I think you should get the ATHM50s.

1st of all, you can forget a single 16:9 upgrade, it will be physically painful.
2ndly - good choice of going away from the 3monitor bezel-stretchfinity setup.
3rdly since you had 120hz monitors, it will be very uncomfortable to go to JUST a 60hz 21:9

    So, you want this:  http://www.amazon.com/Acer-XR341CK-bmijpphz-34-inch-UltraWide/dp/B0111MRT90/?tag=electronicsmini-20
3440x1440, IPS, 75hz, freesync (even if you dont use freesync, you at least get the 75hz IPS)

Yes, its 1100$... i know, i know, but i suggest you wait for when its on salethen. Because it really wont be truly satisfying to upgrade to anything less than this.

Bluethulhu got a reaction from SleathX1 in What's the best antivirus solution to pair with MalwareBytes Pro?
I currently run MalwareBytes PRO + BitDefender 2013 on all my PCs currently, but my BitDefener license is expiring soon. I'm curious if I should cancel and get something else or if I should renew it. I'll be honest and say I am not the most careful person when browsing/downloading, I can spot obvious scams from a mile away, but what I am trying to say is that I am a lot more prone to viruses than someone who browses Facebook all day. I have an unlimited budget as long as it's not something extremely expensive, say over $200. I'm fine with paying $100 for MalwareBytes and Bitdefender together. I also have a pretty good system (3930k + 32GB RAM) that can handle pretty much anything I throw at it.

Monopoly, due to me frustrating everyone I play with by buying up everything and adding hotels to them all. Also, my addiction for buying up old kent road for some reason winds everyone up.
I haven't played cards against humanity yet, but I love the looks of it and intend to buy it very soon so as to have some games & drinks nights with my friends. Nothing like playing a card game when drunk, or in my case slightly tipsy (I hold my drink better than my friends)

I personally could recommend Namecheap, I've owned a handful of domains through them with no issues, either through billing, management, or general service.

I would opt for the 8GB if you insist on the MBA. Just keep in mind you can not upgrade RAM in new Macbooks, it's soldered to the logic board. You should also considering buying from the refurb store, as it's nearly the same product. Apple takes products returned within the 14-day return period, replaces the inclosure and battery, and sells it for a (usually) deep discount.

You could always buy one and dump all the money (except a few cents) into a PayPal account, and use that money for something else, while still having an active card. You should however cancel your trial for Google Music before you get charged, you can just use the card as a backup mechanism if you forget.

I agree, however, when are you buying OP? You might be able to get an SSD on sale if you wait a bit, considering Black Friday/Cyber Monday are approaching in the U.S. (not sure if you will be able to get one on sale in PR).

I let my 3930k run without a cooler when testing it. I touched it while it was on. It felt like ice for a few seconds and then the burning pain came. Also, I convinced my friend to buy a $1000 laptop with a 630m. I feel guilty.

Bluethulhu got a reaction from Jacona in How private is Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility VPN service?
    Welcome to the forum

If you're concerned about privacy, I wouldn't use a VPN provided by Cisco, they have been involved a fair bit with the NSA. You can get a paid one for fairly cheap, I use Private Internet Access and I like it, no major speed decrease (maybe 50mb/s on a connection normally ~57mb/s), and encryption can go from nothing all the way up to AES-256, SHA256, and RSA-4096. It's about $40 USD a year, and you can pay with quite a few options, including Bitcoin if you want to stay even more anonymous.
