Considering the game will probably sell for $60,that's a 1.5 million dollars loss for Ubisoft,just from a single torrent.(if all these people would have bought the game instead of pirating it)

 

 

And no,it's not just people on the PC pirating it,consoles guys are doing it too.

They may have lost money but im sure they will still get a bloody ton of sales considering the amount of hype it has, also a lot of people that torrent games tend to test them out, if they like said game then they buy it.

Yes, but a lot of people who torrent also buy games!!! Sometimes we just need to have a little "test" before we make a purchase, the last game I purchased on release day I got burned so badly! It was the anliens colonial marines. Ever since I promised myself I would NEVER buy a game until I played it and enjoyed it.

pretty much this, just because theres 30 thousand downloads or whatever random number that doesn't mean there are 30 thousand less people buying the game, and ofcourse there are going to be craploads of downloads if a torrent is leaked before the actual release.

 

there was a study that showed that people who torrent actually spend more money on media than those who don't, not torrenting doesn't equal to buying more stuff, for the most part people who torrent are just very big consumers of media in general.

no it isnt, the pc is the market leader, with the help of mobas we have completely reigned hell on the consoles in terms of sales.

I'm not going to buy it yet (not going to pirate either). It's £50, which seems like too much for a PC release to me. I can understand why people are pirating it.

Ubisoft doesn't lose 1.5 mil, cause these people would've never bought the game anyways. This way they only gain popularity, because a lot of people who can't afford to buy the game will still be able to play it.
