So all dac's need that have an amp. The difference is whether they are in the same box or separate ones. The Schiit Modi 2 is of the latter. What you are really after is the Schiit Fulla 2 as it is the best for that price. The better question is do you need an external dac and amp? What headphones do you have?

I have a different model, the Freedoms.
Noteworthy bad things to say: Hissing sound at low volume levels (white noise, etc.), fit is hit and miss. One day I can wear them for 8 hours, another I can't live with them for 30 minutes.

But they are by far the best IEM's I have listened to (and also the most expensive. Then again, I come from cheapo Sennheiser C300II's, so I expected that.
I quite like the equalizer feature, but it lacks basic things, such as password locking the device (so people don't **** connect and it yells "HEADPHOOOONESSSSS CONNECTED" while killing my eardrums) and disabling certain "hot keys" - I call my coworkers 2-3 times a week by mistake, because I apparently doubleclicked the pause button.

The Schiit Modi 2 is designed to go into an AMP which then has a stereo output on the front (mostly designed to be in a stack with the Magni). That doesn't mean you can't use the Modi 2 straight from the DAC, you'd just need RCA to 3.5mm (or 1/4" if you use that) and plug the headphones into that.

FunkyFeatures got a reaction from Soundsystem90 in BF1 unoptimized
I recently picked up BF1 and have enjoyed it so far, but it seems really stuttery and unsmooth at times, as if it was in Beta still.
Just wondering, how have people enjoyed the new Battlefield so far? Because it seems they really took some stupid decisions. You want to customize loadout? Let me take two minutes loading it. You want to leave the server? Let me punish you with a 5 minute wait time. This is on an SSD, and is completely unacceptable.
And just in general in game, CPU usage for an I7 is ~70%. I would be fine, but whenever I peak 100%, the game completely freezes. Unacceptable, never seen this in any other game.
How about the Origin overlay - pretty much required for playing with friends. Well, that is completely broken, but still takes 5% CPU usage while in games.

It seems they somehow rushed Battlefield 1, with really bad balance, optimization and all, however this might just be me.

Just get the XRes Revo D5 pump/res combo... far easier.

You can get mounting bracket and attach to rad or fan... if you're mounting to bottom rad/fan get the one you linked, or if you're mounting to front mounted rad/fan then you can get this one. That's assuming it's a 120mm rad/fan. They do a 140mm version also.

Yes, and when connected to PSU only it will run at 100%, which is what you want when filling the loop. The older versions didn't do this I believe.

    Exactly
If games would simply be copy paste then you "pirated" the game, then I would definitely pirate alot of games.

FunkyFeatures reacted to Wander Away in Why do we need more than 30 FPS in virtual environments
The thing is, a movie can get away with 24 fps because it has a consistent frame time between each frame. That way our brain doesn't have to work as hard to "fill in the blank" as we think of it.

However, the nature of a game means that you cannot possibly control the frame time, as it has to be rendered in real time. For example, the average frame time for 30fps would be 33 ms between each frame, however, the actual time to render each frame can range from 5 to 50 milliseconds, which makes up the "studdering" we observe.

With 60 fps, the average frame time is reduced to 17ms, which makes the variance in frame time less observable, and with higher refresh rate panels, it would be essentially unnoticeable.

FunkyFeatures got a reaction from Redfern in What is this worth?
If it was new, then may have been justifiable, but as used I would probably aim for around $1000-$1200 and even that is on the high side of fair pricing

Yeah, open settings, click 'Update & Security,' click 'Windows Update,' then 'Advanced Options,' then in Get Insider Preview Builds click 'Get Started.'  I have forgotten if it prompts you what ring you want to be in but if it dosesn't, you can go back to Advanced Options and select 'Slow'

FunkyFeatures reacted to EunSoo in Windows 10 Insider as a daily?
I was on the 'Fast' ring before Windows 10 came out and I didn't notice any major issues that wouldn't let me not do anything. But now I am on the 'Slow' ring and I haven't noticed any big issues.
You shouldn't have a problem with the Insider's preview, especially if you are in the 'Slow' ring. Just make sure you keep backups

The blade is more expensive than the xps 15, even when used in ebay, you could actually get a new unopened xps 15 for the same or less money than the blade from what I've seen to date.

The problem with them is, you dont get the option for a full hd touchscreen and an ssd downgrade without downgrading the memory as well.

An xps 15, with the 6700hq, 16gb ram, 256gb nvme ssd and 1080p touchscreen without dedicated graphics would make much more sense and could cost less than £1000! (Goodbye apple!)

I believe so. You'll need to restart your computer for it to take effect.
Do you have any mouse software, like Logitech or Razer Synapse? because that can also mess with the setting.

I actually have the same problem and I'm pretty sure it is caused by Razer Synapse. I just have a shortcut on my desktop to the Mouse settings and I uncheck it every time.

Keep in mind, that if you have multiple computers, with a Microsoft account, your settings are in sync between them.
So if you have a software, or you, enable the feature, it will enable it on all your systems.

You can disable this sync of this kind of features by doing Start > Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings, and turn off "Other Windows settings".

Wait, did the UK really overtake us in renewable energy, or is the 42% only from wind and there may be more from other renewable sources? Anyways, cool to see this much being renewable, we don't really see much of it as everyone is anti-windmill where I live, as well as the fact that loads of windmill companies in Denmark haven't had proper safety procedures while building windmills (epoxy something)

Get wireless APs like the Ubiquiti UniFi APs and place them around the house. You will not find a wireless router that will be effective in a 3 story house (with a basement) without adding additional hardware (repeaters/APs). At least I've never seen it done and I've seen network technicians spend a lot more money trying to make it work than the cost of 3 UniFi APs.
