Windows 10 Insider as a daily?

FunkyFeatures
Go to solution Solved by EunSoo,

I was on the 'Fast' ring before Windows 10 came out and I didn't notice any major issues that wouldn't let me not do anything. But now I am on the 'Slow' ring and I haven't noticed any big issues.

You shouldn't have a problem with the Insider's preview, especially if you are in the 'Slow' ring. Just make sure you keep backups

Hi LTT forums

I have recently performed a clean install of my Windows 10 Enterprise operating system. It seems that it does not want to update, and that it is a PITA to do manually if that even is possible.

So I was thinking, is there anything wrong with running Windows 10 Insider? From what I have heard I can just be part of the "Slow Ring" with the least amount of bugs compared to the other insider program(s)?

Or have I done goofed when installing Windows 10 Enterprise, and is there an option if I perform yet another clean install?

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

Is it fairly easy to go to slow ring? As in a tiny setting somewhere easy to find?

I always have backups. That is no problem :) Better be safe than sorry

Yeah, open settings, click 'Update & Security,' click 'Windows Update,' then 'Advanced Options,' then in Get Insider Preview Builds click 'Get Started.'  I have forgotten if it prompts you what ring you want to be in but if it dosesn't, you can go back to Advanced Options and select 'Slow'

One more question (I know I have already set this as solved) but how do I find my Insider license key? Or is this automatically activated by logging in with a MS account?

I have never really thought about that. I have one PC running Windows 10 home Insider's preview, and one running Windows 10 Pro, both are tied to the same MS account. I would assume that it is tied to your hardware and your existing key. After Windows 10 came out, I haven't heard of any keys (eg. Windows 10 Pro IP key for everyone was "QJNXR-7D97Q-K7WH4-RYWQ8-6MT6Y," but I'm pretty sure that's not going to work now and that they have changed the way it works.

Damn it. It doesn't seem to work for me, I thought my license key got tied to the MS account when I used the early versions of insider preview... Oh well.
