[Updated, more brands]New MX RGB keyboards form Computex 2015

Corsair also has USB passthrough. On the K95 anyway.

No it doesn't.  I'm typing on one right now.

Personally have no use for it though.  I barely even remember the USB ports on my monitor.

It would be amazing if Ducky collaborated with Vortex to get doubleshot PBT+POM backlit keycaps on the Shine 5 series.  It would raise the price, but man--it'd be sweet.

he's probably thinking of the non-rgb ones. My k70 has a passthrough, but the k70 rgb does not for some dumb fucking reason

The main reason I like it is for the mouse

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Ok, fine, maybe it was the non RGB version then.

Probably because no one wants to reach behind their monitor just to use the port.

I hope it's cheaper than Corsair K70 RGB ...

I don't think this will be cheaper than the K70 RGB. In fact I bet ncix will price them slightly above it.

As for build quality, nothing beats a Filco

Goodbye Corsair's pathetic monopoly, hello affordable RGB.

So a company cannot be succesfull? We should celebrate companies like corsair for offering great products that actual people buy.

Wait, ducky's mouse is cordless? No card or hole for one on the front in the picture.

Too bad, there is no thumb rest. A must for me.

As much as I want to love them, does anyone got fed up with all these RGB gimmick after all the stupid and ugly products featuring RGB?

totally agree, getting annoyed seeing that gaming keyboards are un-affordable cause a bunch of 12y/o buy them only for shiny lights while quality being the excuse of buying them.

I also prefer Corsair's look and build quality. Solid aluminum? Yup. Braided cable? yessir. I also like how the keys stick up, there's no plastic bezel or anything like that.

Look up the Ducky Legend and the Year of the Horse. The Legend has a THICK aluminium top plate (5mm, compared to 2mm on the Corsair's). And the Year of the Horse's housing is all CNC machined from a single chunk of aluminium.

As for braided cord. Many Ducky's use a detachable cord, so you are able to buy whichever cord you want for it. Also helps if you have pesky pets that likes chewing on cords.

Is not un-affordable or what, is that how hideous it looked. Logitech G910 is super ugly, Steelseries's M800 look like a membrane. Then we have headphones that are RGB, mouse with RGB that cost slightly more.

i remember razer made the arctosa and lycosa keyboards, the lycosa was 50$ more expensive than the arctosa, they both were the exact same, only that the lycosa had leds and the arctosa didnt

i actually like ss's gaming keyboard design tbh.

They had the rights to be the only manufacturer for MX RGB keyboards for a year. Nobody else could have them.

Not to say I don't like Ducky, I think they make brilliant keyboards and am so glad that they are making MX RGB products, but the whole simple thing is the reason I wouldn't get one. I love the design of the K70, it looks amazing and the media keys are really good, best volume wheel ever. Also, I've never actually held a ducky, but I feel like you can't get better build quality than the full Aluminum construction of the corsair.

But that's all personal opinion really, for any of my friends who look for a clean and simple mechanical, I always point them towards ducky.

I had never heard of Ducky before the past couple of years when Luke praised them. I never really got why they were so expensive while being so minimalistic and not really offering much against the competition.

What are you people doing with your keyboards that build quality is so important?  I have a 10 year old Saitek membrane that still works great at work.. I have a 5 year old steel series mechanical that works great, and a corsair k70 non-rgb for my personal computer.. none of them had any issues with build quality and still work just as well as day 1.
