Leaked photos of a new HTC device called "M9pt"

Chinese site cnBeta.com reported, photos of a mysteries HTC device was leaked online, and its' design is a little bit astray from HTC's design language in the past.

 

According to the article, these photos were leaked by a guy called Ekour (I'm still looking for the source of these photos, I'm not sure if it is from twitter, or from other forums). But from these photos, the device seems to be different from HTC's design language in the past. Firstly, it looks similar to the M8, with silm bezels (which most rumors suggested). Boomsound speaker and the HTC logo is still present on the front, but interestingly it seems there is a physical home key on the bottom part of the device.

Also it seems the dual-lens system is still present, as it seems there are two cameras on the back of the device, same as the M8. Lastly the device is running Sense 6.0, and from the device information page it seems the device is named "M9pt".

 

The author of this article suggested that this device may actually be the rumored M9 Plus (One Max's rumored refresh), but I think it may be the prototype of the M9/Hima or other HTC One series devices. The device in these photos is different from one in the previously leaked photos ( http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/294531-rumor-possible-htc-one-m9-prototype-leaks/ ), and we can't confirm whether this is the M9, M8 Plus, or other HTC devices until it is launched.

So many Companys don't understand that the look is very important for a Phone, if I look at my iPhone and my Sisters Samsung there is such a difference and personal it is worth the price for me

Um, it was the same way on both the M7 and M8 and no one seemed to give a rip. I certainly don't.

I know but I can't stand off centre camera's on all devices but maybe its just me.

Screen is also smaller. Guess I'll be looking elsewhere for my upgrade in a few months. New galaxy note methinks.

I realy hope the m9 is out by march because that's when i can use my upgrade haha.

bro, I stated the author of the article suggesting this is the M9 plus (One Max's rumored refresh), not the M9...

the photos you shown are the rumored M9...

they are 2 different devices....

I really hope that those top pictures are fake.  One of the M8's strongest selling points is the dual front speakers.  I wouldn't even consider buying a phone with a single speaker anymore.
