"The Penetrator" a watercooled FT05

spwath

Noice. By some magic my G3258 is hotter than your 6300. :( Might be that I have it sitting pretty at 4.6/1.25-1.26.

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14195/ex-rad-286/Magicool_Extreme_Dual_180mm_x_35mm_Slim_Radiator_MC-RADI180X2.html Grab this radiator, then you can use the two ap fans in the base and not need any more rads in it. You could run an SLI setup on this size radiator I bet.

As long as you don't overclock anything he's right.

If you are intaking on that rad you're going to be blowing hot air onto your GPU etc and as you're runing AMD that water is going to get plenty hot if you Overclock it excluding VRMs etc as you will have little airflow over them when you remove the tower cooler from your CPU. Would recommend putting the VRM and NB under water too.

Yeah, well I won it.

Parents don't like the idea of me spending my 300$ on it. But they will come around, it is my money.

I think ill go with single 180mm rad, to prevent gpu getting warm, and save $$.

if i ever watercool gpu, then ill get a dual 180mm rad, and stack the 2 rads.

You could probably OC if you get a thicker rad, like this one.

XT45 (in push pull)

Or would there be clearance issues?

I think ill go single 180mm rad, and later, add a dual 180mm rad, so it would be thick on cpu side, thin on gpu side to support long GPU

  • 2 weeks later...

Update:

Soo... not getting a new gpu yet, kinda blew my money on a powermac g4 cube :)

But, figured out how to mount HDD (will use anti vibration rubber, dont worry.)(also dont worry, wont matter airflow for watercooling, this was just a test fit)

Your GPU won't get that warm. I have a triple magicool rad covering my ap180s in my FT02. It literally made a degree difference which could be a margin of error. Just get the dual 180. Also! You might want to change those plastic fitting caps on the radiator. I used plumbing tape on mine. So it really won't leak. Also, be sure to flush it out good. It will have some specks in it. Also the dual 180mm is close in performance to a 360mm rad. You might be able to plop a 120mm rad in the top for lols too. That's what I did.
