"Something new is coming..." AMD VP Global Channel Sales

mymouthandi

Are they going to drop a Sempron from space? Or perhaps an instruction booklet?

On the reals though, will this be the first OEM chip to come with a liquid cooler?

FX? what ya getting at AMD, cuz i thought the new FX line was for 2016...

looking at the 'with liquid cooler system' part on the box, lets hope this isnt a 5.5GHz overclocked 8000 series CPU... (or whatever frequency...)

I keep moving my head around trying to read the side of the box, knowing it's impossible. Isn't that the 9XXX FX box?

It clearly says "WITH LIQUID COOLING" on the box, so it's probably an already existing fx line processor (presumably the 9590 since it's the one that would need it most of all) with a liquid cooler stock. Nothing that crazy but cool nonetheless. If you have an am3+ board and are looking to upgrade this might be the right time.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

no. 9370 and 9590 have been out since last year. This would be 10XXX or a new naming scheme again. Like A10, R9. Probably FX3 350 or some bull.

PS4 owned by Sony. What does Sony have that we don't?

Lots of money on a cheque to wave in front of their face to influence AMD's decision making. Hence the special APU inside the PS4.
