Watch Dog's resolutions revealed.

deathjester

http://blog.ubi.com/watch-dogs-next-gen-game-resolution-dynamism/

"On new-gen systems the game will run at 900p on PS4 and 792p on Xbox One, at 30 frames-per-second on both consoles. While some new-gen games now offer native 1080p, Morin says it’s much more important to deliver an amazing next-gen experience than it is to push a few more pixels onto a screen. “Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number."

Get out of here Sony with your 1.84 TFLOP 7790 GPU. Should have been "that only the PC can provide".

The text says 30fps on PS4, the image says 60, which is it?

This should be in Console Gaming, these 'Next Gen' spiel articles are written for ignorant people IMHO, just look at the top comments at the bottom of that article.

Sony lied. They already took it down. Ubisoft put this out just recently. Someone on Neogaf caught it.

Is that was console people tell themselves so that they can be okay with their low-spec console?

That 792p resolution tho.

Seriously...We had the GPU power of a XB1 in 2008 on a 200 dollar GPU. This is just sad. 792p must look like absolute trash on a big tv. People need to ditch these things and just go big picture mode on Steam. I feel bad for console gamers at this point.

Yeah. GTA V in "1080p" on my Xbox 360 is terrible. Parts of trees look like they're floating (they're not).

It is hard to explain it to people to. People have no idea they can play on their couch etc. I just link them this guy's video now. Does a great job explaining how silly some of this stuff is. I think they actually have to see someone using a freakin controller on their couch with a PC to believe it lol. My brother in law was the same way. I had to actually take my PC hook it up to my TV and show him. He now has a 8320 I built him and is balling on steam with racing games and console ports on his big screen and boots to big picture mode.

"Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number."

Yeah. And if you take that approach, I suppose game engine values don't matter, either. Might as well develop the damn thing on UE3 with ragdolls if numbers are so unimportant.

"M. Aronnax." replied the Canadian, "your arguments are rotten at the foundation. You speak in the future, 'We shall be there! we shall be here!' I speak in the present, 'We are here, and we must profit by it.'"

Which GPU?

http://www.hwcompare.com/11957/geforce-gtx-260-core-216-vs-radeon-hd-7770/

That is at stock 576 mhz to. I still have that card in another computer (BFG brand). Went to 675 or something with ease.

TFLOPS of AMD cards from AMD (click specs tab).

http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/7000/7700

A 7870 is almost 2.6 TFLOPS at stock. Literally twice a Xbox One's GPU. Again hit specs tab.

http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/7000/7800

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7528/the-xbox-one-mini-review-hardware-analysis/2

^ What is in the consoles. 1.84 TFLOPS on a PS4. 1.31 for Xbox One. Subtract 10 percent from 1.31 due to Kinect. Supposedly going down to 2 percent with the new SDK.

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. Lol. "PS4 delivers best graphics on any console." There are only 2!

This is an nVidia game so don't expect anything amazing out of the console. I'm just stuck at 792pon my 780 and on low settings I will only get 30 fps. ): boo hoo

It's just a number? That's cool, then the 5 million PS4's sold don't matter? Your paycheck doesn't matter?

Just give me your money then, since it's "just a number".

This makes me very happy, but at the same rate how about we agree to do away with the PC Master Race and become the Noble PC Brotherhood. The revolution can begin here, my brothers! *Artwork subject to change
