Not the greatest gas mileage, but only cost $3k, came with brand new tires so it was a fantastic deal. ~180k miles on it

I used to be into cars a lot, until I worked out they're much more of a money pit than computers are. I've owned various Japanese cars, including a Levin GTZ (a new fwd one, not a RWD trueno unfortunately :() a nissan skyline R32 GT-s which I converted to turbo and loved for a while, a nissan silvia S13 with a CA18DET, which was scary fun, a 1980 ford escort which I built/painted myself which is on my youtube channel, spent a lot of money on that thing, um and various other cars. I don't own one anymore because I moved into a flat with no garage and I live so close to uni.

Here's a picture of my escort mk2

BMW 550i with exhaust work done by a buddy of mine. I'll attach a pic or two. Yes, that is really my license plate :D

I used to be big into cars - modifying, drag racing, etc., but got tired of the "having to work on it every day after work to get it ready for the track Friday night thing". Got burned out on it. Now I just drive them and do the odd maintenance or brake job on friend's cars.

Why do you hate the environment? My Hyundai Excel uses 7L/100km (or 40mpg for anyone using the idiot system), even less when highway driving, and gets me everywhere. I can fit 2 mountain bikes in the back and a mate in the front while towing my boat and all its gear. I don't really see how you can justify the expense your truck presents. What do you even use your car for other than looking good or daily visits to the petrol station?

SOME people actually have to tow heavy stuff. especially in the US.... besides, it's a diesel, and they get better gas mileage than gasoline engines.... also, some of us have stuff quite a bit bigger to haul than a couple bikes. also, this is the US, long-distance public transit is practiclally nonexistent

Is diesel better for the environment as well? Also, you could convert your truck over to vegetable oil with your diesel engine.
