Increase in Youtube Ads

Jtalk4456

has anyone else noticed a very recent uptick in the number of ads? In the last couple days I've been seeing ads playing more frequently, plus 2 ads before a video starts. I've even noticed this on LTT videos. Has Youtube undergone a change in ad structure or do I happen to be subscribed to people who recently all increased the number of ads?

Insanity is not the absence of sanity, but the willingness to ignore it for a purpose. Chaos is the result of this choice. I relish in both.

Too many people using adblock, they need to shove more ads down our throat to recoup the money lost. Which in exchange drive more people toward adblock.
You just can't have your cake and eat it too, you'd think Google would know this, people don't like ads.

I much prefer creative ads done in video as part of the content instead of some dumb ad in front of video and lately more of this garbage in the middle of videos, like without any warning, bam, an ad.

Not once I've skipped ad spoken by Linus during videos, because they have a charisma. Or even better, ads ChrisRayGun ads he drops in his videos, because he seamlessly connects them in his content and makes really hardcore jokes and I like that. I basically watch him for the ads coz he's so funny :D

They've recently started putting ads at the end of some videos for me on the mobile app, as well as the standard beginning of the vid ones.

they're not. i always turn adblock on for youtube sometime after 8PM, because i'll get random ad's for horror films and the like.. i'm already scared as hell of the dark as it is, i don't need that on top of it. especially at night.

I'm ok with ads coming out from Youtube, but i wish i could be selective.

At least, if they have a functions such as block this specific ads.

most of them are ok to watch, but some of them are really terrible.

I have noticed this as well. Theyre probably getting desperate.

on cellphone i always get a 15 seconds non skippable ads, then a X length skippable add after 5 or 10 seconds at each new video. Then most video has between 1 and 10 yellow bar in them with ads that are a mix and match of the same again. Just last night i was watching Mythical Morning and there was two 15 seconds non skippable ads in the episode plus 2 at the beginning (one skippable one not). 15 minutes video for 55 seconds of adds. On that show i used to have a 5 sec skippable at the beginning and that's it.
