Possible Ebay Scams? Or Miners?

Lord Letto

Just browsing to see what's available & prices to possibly replace my GTX 780 with something that requires less power with the same or better performance after I replace the motherboard for my i5-2500k & get a new PSU, if I have enough spare money afterwards I'd get it this month otherwise I'll wait for next month.

anyway, found some cards at prices too good to be true:

Someone in the USA with no feedback is selling 8 or 9 used PNY GTX 1070 XLR8 Gaming Edition cards (8 listings numbered #1 to #8 with 1 unnumbered listing) for $89 USD/$115.46 Canadian and Free Shipping, not sure if scammer or a miner who bought his cards elsewhere & made a ebay account to try selling his cards for dirt cheap: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F283201600050

USA seller with no feedback, only 1 item listed currently, I found a Identical listing from same seller but with #1 on it like how the other seller with the 1070s had them listed, but it sold so only 1 active listing, a used 8GB XFX Radeon RX 580 GTR XXX Edition for $79 US/$102.49 Canadian: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173579754544

Same setup as above, but with letters instead of numbers, and clearly a Scam I think as it's high end/well known brand and listed as new, 5 listings for a New ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1070 with a price of $88US/$114.16 Canadian and free shipping: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F153212119104

Same as the last one, but with dots instead of letters, and higher price of $96US/$124.54 Canadian: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F352480681378

Back to letters but diffrent brand and higher end card, New Zotac GTX 1080 AMP Edition for $98 USD/$127.14 Canadian: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F153212002195

I'm sure there's more like it out there, but seeing how it is they are all most likely scams though the ones with cards listed as used make it kinda difficult to figure out as there's at least some possibility that it's miners who made their money & getting out of mining so legit selling their cards cheap as they made their money already?

Does it even matter at that price point?

Should be obvious. Pay more or take the risk.

Zero feedback ... pay with paypal if very low chance ebay money back doesn't cover for it. IMO, I won't want to waste my time.

All of them are fake GPU's, listed as GTX 750 Ti or GTX 1050 TI but are in real GTX 550 or GTS 450 BIOS flashed to GTX 750 TI or GTX 1050 TI. Dead giveaway of this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/GTX-1050Ti-4GB-GDDR5-Mining-GPU-Game-Video-Graphics-Card-for-NVIDIA-DirectX-12-/332828889459?oid=153212002195

GTX 1050 TI's don't have a VGA port :)

I know about those Fake GPUs from videos on youtube & what I had found wasn't it (although it's possible they would have pulled a bait & switch), it was real brand name cards with stock photos & prices too good to be true, not fake unbranded/generic cards.

Are you very sure? If yes, file in a dispute if seller refuses it and make sure to provide proof.

VGA simply has to die like dodo's.
