That Tommerrs dude is doing like 8 Mil PPD, no way that's going to last.

he actually did 9.8MPPD yesterday which is interesting.

As he is only running 5 slots. So that's almost 2 million PPD per slot ?

So there's gotta be some Titan V or Turing goodness under that hood assuming their not something designed for compute

It's day 6 on this event and we are using supercomputer grade parts. In my estimates, if this keeps going on. Early next week somebody is asking where to find cheap liquid helium to cool quantum computer. ?

I ordered a flux capacitor upgrade but it is on backorder :(

Yeah I think generally folding is a more intensive workload but it's also just generally unusual so who knows

Different loads are differently stressful, both within compute and gaming. You have to test for the specific load unless you have good reason why something else works as a substitute.

Day six - Folding Month 2018

Well, after another all nighter, validating data, sorting out tables and getting ready for automation I'm here. This is just a PSA for the new guys here, the folding team is a small close knit community, so here's a few things I'd like you all to keep in mind. It doesn't hurt to say thank you, if someone has genuinely helped you out don't forget to drop a reaction on their posts, help others where ever you can and finally we are a team first and always.

Now onto the juicy horse-race Folding ranks!

The king has fallen, ALL HAIL @Tomerrs, Holding first position with a lead of 20,000 points! We have the dethroned king in 2nd, and Jakkuh is closing on him, but with a lead of 900k the king could still keep hold of the number two slot if he acts quickly. Dissitesuxba11s is in 4th with14.2million points but Ben Quigley looks like he will catch up and retake the number 4 slot. Gorgon is in 6th place with 13.2Million points, and porina is 100k behind that mark. Palespartan is in 8th with 10.0million points. Then comes the 1.5million point gap that is opening up with cereal5 having 8.5million. _Rlocke is in 10th with 8million points.

Another gap has opened up between 10th and 11th, with Invaderzim117 falling 1.5million short of the pack at the top. TVwazhere is in 12th with 6.3million, D_Newb is in 13th with 6million and DUW1G1T has 5.6million. CagedAnimalz and Rollinlower both have 5.4million. WillHemmings, Powelljl and Stijnman all are fighting to stay inteh top 20 with around 5.2million each. RAS_3885 sits in 20th, with his 300k point gap nehind melting away he is in danger of losing his spot in the illustrious top 20.

If your numbers seem off, or you cant find yourself on the list then please do get in contact with me and I will double check on your data, we currently have 360 sign-ups but only around 260 have produced any points so far for the event.

Please remember we have minimum participation requirements, these are 100k points, 15WUs, and 15 days of having activity over the course of the whole month.

If you do not have a registered folding name with Stanford by the next update your details will be removed from the event.

Also, can you all give yourself a pat on the back because together, we produced  93,483,405 points yesterday!

Happy folding, thanks for getting involved and if you lot feel like trying to squeeze out a little more production from your rigs we could push the event over 100million points a day!

Ben.

Well I was able to get my 1080 Ti back up to 2050 on the core, this time with stock voltage. It's interesting to see how the card boosts higher when you have the voltage slider up. I mean it makes sense, for obvious reasons. The GPU has more power to play around with and plenty of temperature head room, just interesting I guess. So I'm saving myself 43mv, whatever that translates to in watts lol

Damn. I probably could have made top 50 if I didn't shut down for a few hours to clean and install new hardware.

Yeah but I bet that 970 Evo is fast af. And you'll definitely be there tomorrow. You still make over half your total points today with that shut down.

At this point I dunno if I'm even gonna stay in the top 15. There's quite a few poeple on this list below me who at this rate will easily catch me at their rates. Cross my fingers and hope that RAM and extra GPU come in soon, but even that wont stop  Yabdat and DUW1G1T... But maybe it's enough to hold off Powelljl, sazrocks and Flynnt
