my RTX 2080ti was supposed to arrive early 10th september but now got delayed

so i ordered a RTX2080ti and they informed me that their supplier said it'll 100% come at september 10th, but i called and ask why it's late they said they werent sure and that i have to wait another week, im guessing the GPU is with them right not but they just dont wanna give it, why is that? i guess i have to wait next week but why tell me its coming early at all anyways?

Well microless was the store i visited in Dubai when i was strolling around Marina Mall.

Somebody from the shop is already playing on your card the awsome RTX games. Kidding they probably still haven't received it from supplier, tho from my experience they should avoid promising delivery on 100%.

ETA was supposed to be 20th. Reviews are supposed to come out on the 17th.
Maybe they screwed up before and Nvidia told them to hold the stocks until after the review is out.

You got blatantly lied to or this is just a post to brag about the fact you bought one.  All news is that the cards are't shipping toward the end of month and always after review cards are sent out to drum up interest.

 

Highly doubt you're on some short list to get one before folks like Linus or Gamer's Nexus get theirs.

Just wait to 21 september, if you still didn't receive anything from them ask for a refund.

I hope you have a receipt or something to proof that you ordered the GPU from them to get a refund.

You should at least take a look and read what he said before saying he's bragging.

Well since most people I know who live in Dubai is rich enough to get a few, i don't think it would fall down to the smart or not category.

And hey, i'm sure it's more powerful than the 1080Ti, that's for sure.

I disagree. If someone can freeze a specific amount of money for the card then preordering it is a smart tactical move.

 

Preordering hardware that is in limited supply is not the same as preordering software that you can download literally one minute after official premiere.

He actually did pay for it, he has a locked amount on his credit card and as soon as it ships he'll be charged.  it's not like the UPS guy is going to wait for a check at the door.  

 

No company is going to send a $1300 video card out the door without receiving payment for it prior. Even RMA's lock your CC down before sending you a replacement for expedited RMA's.

 

Edit:  Yes, if he can afford it, more power to him.
