I just want to know if linustechtips is a friendly community.

We're a very friendly community.

 

There are always a few trolls on here that like to make things difficult and make multiple, useless threads *cough cough*.

 

But other than that, we're always here to help people out.

As always, it depends.

In general, LTT is pretty friendly, but there's always the few assholes here and there who think themselves superior to others. This is especially true in Intel vs AMD threads or in Political threads... both of which are against the CS.

If you have the displeasure to meet such an asshole, just report them. Don't even bother replying to them, they aren't worth your time.
Do be sure to read the Community Standards if you plan to stay.

I tend to be, unless I'm having a bad day but then I often don't reply to threads. 

There use to be a few more assholes but most get banned.

Usually we're a friendly bunch. I try to help out where I can, and really only get frustrated when someone asks for help without using any grammar or punctuation, or is missing crucial information in their first post, but even then my frustration will only ever come out as sarcasm, so yeah, we're friendly.

im sometimes pretty angry but its usually because someone has proven me wrong and im making up stuff to try and fix it. Not going to lie. Usually i try and be nice but its easy to get emotional over something quite silly online. What I say though, always take with a grain or salt as with everyone on the internet and understand why i would take such a position. Many people are very transparent.
