Linus touches pants?

mpss
Go to solution Solved by LinusTech,

I set it too fast on purpose. That way I can read pretty far ahead, which makes the delivery more natural. It also helps me ad lib on the fly or skip a section if I feel like changing something up.

Why does @LinusTech always touch his pants in the LTT YouTube videos. It looks like he is touching his mic pack. What is going on here?

It's for the teleprompter scrolling.

Wow. Ok. Thanks for the info. Why does he do this manually?

Hard to get the scroll speed perfect, so sometimes it gets ahead or falls behind.  The remote changes the speed.

It works best for him I guess being in control of the speed at which you read things off is probably the best.

This makes since now. Linus seems to go full force and talk non stop so it makes since that he would need to adjust the speed on the fly. He does do it very often though.

I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I haven't seen Linus do this, but this adjusts the speed of his script he reads. Nice pickup.

Speaking of touching pants and natural delivery, Private Internet Access is the easy to use VPN, for the more intimate internet experience.

Because he needs someone to do the autoprompt reader on the ipad for him... but does it himself with a dongle iphone bluetooth pointer note9 stylus. ;)

Its still is like you are reading from script. Which is part that I don't like in LTT, or any videos. If I want to read scripted review, I read actual written review. Anytime you do off-script or move vlog styled video, its always better. I have unsubscribed from channels because content has gone too much to scipted/acted style vs what original was.
