2990wx price leak on chinese online retailer website JingDong ,price 13999 RMB (around 2000 USD), the website said it will be available for pre-order after 3days and 4hours, if you pay the  pre-order deposit (100RMB 14 USD),you can get it at 13099RMB 1900 USD start 13 aug 10pm end 16 aug 10pm (Beijing Time UTC+8)

Expensive but holy crap the price/performance has to be good on that thing.

Compared to whatever else is on the market atm that's a steal.

The box looks awesome as well.

I felt like shit throwing away the TR1 packaging. I really don't want to go through an existencial crysis just because I have to decide whether to keep or throw away....

You know that one day. 8 years from now, the threadripper will be outdated. Where will you put the poor sodd? You cant just put him on a keychain like i did with my CPU from socket 774 from 2006 or something.
