Posted July 19, 2018 I bought a second hand pc a couple of days ago and I'm noticing a crackle coming from my PSU. Do I need to be worried about it? I've added an audio fragment. Posted July 19, 2018 Make sure there's nothing touching the fan blades inside the power supply (the plastic foil under the fan, wires under the fan etc) It's repetitive enough that it makes me think something scratches against the fan blades, or that the fan has issues running. Posted July 19, 2018 Some PSUs like GPUs experience coil whine but this isn't a coil whine I've ever heard. I'd like to blame the fan but I'm not sure old fans would make that noise. Is it full of dust?
