Sabotage

realSpoderman

So I'm staying in my grandparents apartment with my family, and my 12 year old cousin just sits here and plays Fortnite. He also uses and Ethernet cable and turns off the WiFi to hog all of the bandwidth. I need a way to stop his Ethernet cord from working while also making it hard to notice why it stopped working. However, I have to be able to fix it so I don't have to pay for a new one.

The simpler the better, Thanks.

Well, you could put a small piece of clear tape in the ethernet-connectors on the router and/or his PC, so the ethernet-connector doesn't get contact. Just remove the piece of tape from inside when done.

Log into the Router and throttle the port he is plugged into or just shut it off.

Or throat punch him haha

If he's turning off the Wi-Fi that means he knows how to login to the router. Change the login user/pass for the router. It's not like your grandparents ever need to do anything in there.

Yes and it doesn't work, he is the most selfish a hole I have ever seen and his mother won't say no to him. His dad isn't here.

Actually there is a button on the side of the router that turns off the WiFi, it's an old router.

Fair enough, I'll admit it is an assumption but if their grandparents are anything like mine, my aunts & uncles, those of my friends, or random middle aged/old people of whom I've helped they won't have any reason to go in there.

Besides even if I'm wrong he can just write down the user/pass and tell them to hide it from the cousin.

So much for that idea.

if we need the damage to be reversible instead of directing your attention to the cable why not setup a static IP on the computer that's on a different network? The internet on his PC alone won't work.

If you can get access to his laptop, you can disable the ethernet adaptor on the laptop. (simple right-click enable/disable in: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections)

Eh, the problem with this is that Windows Networking Diagnostics if ran will easily re-enable it. All you have to do is click on the wired icon in the desktop and it'll see it's disabled and re-enable it for you.

i still think you ought to just take cable cutters to the ethernet cable he uses and buy him a replacement.

What are they, $3.00?

Just take his damned hard drive. The kid probably won't know it's missing and you can say you happen to have a spare one to 'fix' his broken one if worst comes to worst.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

He said the old router he is using has a switch on the side that enables/disables wifi.... So changing the password to the router will have no effect.

What I would do is one of several things.

- I would go in to the router and block the IP's or domains associated with fortnite.

- I would do the same as above, but instead in his computers host file

- I would modify his shortcuts for the game to all point to a picture file that has some variation of "You have been banned"

- I would modify block the exe for his game in his computers firewall... just add it to the outbound blacklist.

- I would tell my grandma that the game he is playing contains naked women.

All of the above would stop his ability to play fortnite

Spike his food or drink with laxatives. You will have plenty of time to use the internet then. Might teach the little shit a lesson about not being a cunt.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Honestly though just take the cord away and don’t tell him you did. He’ll be forced to use wifi like you.

Grow a back bone and tell him to fuck off, your grandparents pay for the internet, not his mom, not him etc. you have as much right to use it as him, considering your both guests in the house. There are others in the house who'd also be using the Wifi also, and I can almost guarantee they are just too nice to say anything.

Yeah if that doesn't work do just log into the router and change the QoS settings to make fortnite the lowest rated. and setup a static DNS A record from fortnite.com (or whatever the website is) to lemonparty.

  • Log in to his fortnite account and cheat or play with hacks running. It will get banned and he won't be able to play.
  • Whenever he's playing Fortnite, go over to the router and unplug the ethernet cable - preferably midway through a game. Once you hear him start to complain that the internet isn't working, quickly plug it back in and walk away pretending like nothing happened. Do this every time he plays.
  • If he's playing on PC, plug a wireless keyboard or mouse in to the back of his computer where he won't see it and take control of his computer whenever he's playing. Be subtle about it and just make him turn around randomly when he's trying to shoot at someone. If using a keyboard then every once in a while just swap his gun (preferably during fights). Occasionally hit the build buttons so he places walls in front of him while he's running.
  • If he's playing on PC, when he walks away from the computer open up a bunch of browser tabs for porn and leave it up on the screen for your grandparents to see. Alternatively open them up and then close them, and then later show his mother the browser search history where he's been looking at "big black booty bitches". He'll likely be banned from the computer for a while
