56 Cores in ONE SYSTEM! - HOLY $H!T

How about a little bit of  CPU mining?
Just to see how many hashes it gets :V

I'd like to see this vs a Titan XP (or a few) in Blender Cycles.

My eyes see the past…

My camera lens sees the present…

I watched this video. =)

I'd like to see a game running at least 30 fps in 16 monitors.

Minecraft worked just fine xD

Install Tensor Flow and run some massive datasets through that sucker. Or better yet download some RNAseq data from the NCBI database and see how long it takes to run sequence alignment on a gamut of total RNAseq FASTA datasets. I'll have some RNAseq experiments coming up in the next month or so (should have 24-52 mRNAseq profiles to run), and you can put my own system to shame with the alignment runtime on those. You can use the results in this study to compare your system in million read pairs/hr.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Spoiler

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

putting every video editor on a single motherboard sounds like a BAD IDEA, imagine how fucked you'd be if that thing crashed.

It would be more a proof of concept project like 7 gamers 1 cpu

Putting everyone on that one motherboard will work as well as knockoff Taco Bell from a dodgy downtown before a major event where everyone will be wanting to meet you all day long.

Just no, never nope, no and no.

We're just about to receive 4 96 core machines for my workplace.... That's right... 96 cores per machine.  It will be used to do high end engineering analysis.5ab284faa34f2_2018-03-2113_42_00-Resolution_1024x768FPS_6.png.11b769773bc8d5c3eac7eb0f38e1772b.png

Lets see unRAID go to work on this system. How about 4-8 Rendering stations all at once?

Similar to 7 Gamers, 1 CPU... But this time "7 Workstations, 1 CPU"

What do you think?

Have 7 LTT employees run their work off this beast. HARD MODE! All LTT Employees must run their work for a day off this one mega system... is it possible?!?

  • 7 months later...

I Wonder if any one knows , about this Mobo WS C621E sege in this , because in the specs shows 3 Eatx 12v connections , two are for the Cpu's above the CPU's thenselfs  and another located next to the U.2 connector is EATX 12v but is 6 pins connector instead 8 pins like the other two and I can't find a PSU with 3 ATX 12 v cables , I was thinking on taking one of the PCI-e 6+2 cables and switch the plastic male plug with one compatible with the ATX 6 pin plug, does anyone know a PSU compatible with this Mobo , because everywhere I look all PSU's I have seen come with only two ATX 12v cables .

The 3rd 12v is for use with a 2nd PSU since you'll struggle powering 2 (typical) powerful CPUs plus whatever else you're putting in the system.

You can even use 3 PSUs at once (Like Linus') if you're loading it up with high-power PCIe devices.
