RYZEN 2 Benchmarks leaked

Namija

Some of AMD’s newest processors on the Zen 2 platform have had benchmarks leaked by SiSoftware. Of course, all of the benchmarks showed a boost of around “7-15%” (to be expected) however, there are some benchmarks that show a “20-30% increase in memory/cache transfer” as well as a few others pointed out in the article.

The prices and clock speeds leaked too!!! Check my last source.

I think this is a big deal since they are going to put a huge amount of pressure on Intel, both in terms of pricing and performance (not that they haven’t started that already, but more so).

P.S. I did not see this posted prior to myself posting this article. If I missed it please tell me and I will remove my post immediately.

No idea. I’d guess X3(something).

Probably also x399 because intel is angry, because AMD took their chipset name.

On the more real scale probably x499, as between the x99 and x299 were also 200 digits.

yes you have a point but you have to wonder if AMD intentionally did that to give intel the finger so to speak

So who was the idiot that decided to bench it against the 6700k rather than the 8700k?

I want to watch a video on this but i'm sure this will be WAN show material and I'll have to wait until friday

Does it matter that much when you can find an 8700k benchmark at any time?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

It would be nice to have it against an 8700K, but honestly the 6700K is what people largely have since X299 scared everyone off and the 7700K was literally the same processor. I’m guessing they wanted to compare it to what people have so they can show AMD owns at that price point as the 6700/7700k CPU’s.

Still makes no sense. We already know the performance of Ryzen 1 vs 6700k....yeah it loses in multi thread, until the 8700k came out. Compare it against what its going to compete with.

Zen 2 or Ryzen+ coming out soon? if its Zen 2 7nm it might make sens of 15-30% improvements even those are way too optimistic.

Ryzen+ does not exist.

Zen+ which is Ryzen 2 is coming out april~, it seems to have a %7~ clock bump with higher all core turbo which gives it a %15 multi core clock bump.

according to leaks

Zen 2 (Ryzen 3) is coming early 2019.

Cascade Lake-X should be compatible with X299, so probably X299-2.

Assuming that cinebench's single core performance is linear, you're looking at an ~11% increase in Zen+ over Zen after accounting for clock speed. Even if you assume real world performance increase clock for clock is half that AMD looks to be only 2-3 percent behind Intel. That's fairly impressive

Well overall looks very good for a refresh so far. Wish to see clock for clock compare eventually to see differences besides clocks.
