Suggestions on an AIO

Go to solution Solved by Imbellis,

It took 4+ years for my 240mm H100 to die on me... and I bought it used off of another dude.

I'd trust Corsair; however, I'd still recommend that you go air cooling.

My brother is running a 1700x with a slightly modified D15(s?) and runs ~10 degrees C above ambient during idle, ~30C during full synthetic load.

If there's one AIO brand I'd stay away from, it'd be ThermalTake.

I'm looking for a dual fan AIO water cooling for my cpu... but everywhere I go people seem to run into problems with units leaking. Do I have to spend 300$ to get a quality AIO? I really don't want to destroy my new 3k computer...

Leaking is unlikely and isn't a problem you should worry about. If you want a bit more reliability, you could go air cooling instead.

What are your specs? Where are you shopping/located? What are you looking for in a cooler?

Pretty much.  Get an aircooler or go custom IMO, maybe get an eisbaer unit (£100-200) if you can find one in stock.

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

I am still a pusher of the expandable AIO's. EKWB, Swiftech, and alphacool all make decent ones.

The reason I suggest these... is they aren't just expandable, they also offer much better performance than your average CLC AIO. That is because these offer components that are similar to those of a custom loop, so the performance you get from them is between a CLC AIO and a custom loop.
