Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Nice project sir! Keep us posted with your progress. :-)

Phase one, save money. In progress.

I'm sure most of you are familiar with this mustang and it got me thinking. So my Idea is to do something similar with a fastback because I'm not a huge fan of  convertibles. What do you guys think? It would be a pretty epic project am I right :D

I would kill to drive something like that, but would create a tubular frame to save what you can with the body.

the 959 was 4wd soooooo yeah

a stang is rwd so it would be slightly a lot harder to drive

roadkill-general-mayhem-1968-dodge-charg

But so much fun.

Can a American following this thread point me to websites of major american junkyards please I wanna find a rough fastback body

A lot of yards don't list what's in then you have to find it yourself.

@AlwaysFSX any good junk yards you know of?

Off the top of my head, no. It depends on what area you want to narrow it down to. :P

Well, good luck, the junkyards here in my area are usually clunkers except for an import here or there.

Almost impossible, actually impossible in my area, to get a fast back stang in the yard. Either look on craigslist or ebay or something like that.

So, GM started off the year with another recall. GG GM. I have lost all respect for american cars now.

But why does it have to be a fast back? You don't like an import? What about a Holden Monaro? It's an Australian car.

Why do you think I own 3 japanese cars? Reliability. Thank god the Japanese sold cars here during the gas crisis of the 70s, otherwise, I would be buying a shitty American car RN.

I wouldn't defile a Monaro. Not a huge fan of imports. Imagine a mustang but trophy truck style :D

If I remember correctly there's a couple giant yards here in Texas which hold a lot of oldies. Might be a start. Be warned though, you will need a lot of replacement panels for whatever car you buy because there will be detrimental rust.

I think roadkill did an episode in Texas where they got that old truck that died. Might be, not positive.

Hey don't let GM be representative of all American cars.

GM is like the only auto company in American recalling so many cars.

Not many other brands do. And yes I know GM owns a few.
