Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Comparing all new cars. Went back a couple of pages back. What other cars you can get for a similar price of the new NSX, that fills a similar role.

Very true. But I feel that very few people would get a $150~200k two-seater sports car as their only car. It would more likely be a car in addition to the M3.

Then again with the magic of chip tuning, a diesel panamera could as easily be a practical fast daily in addition to a sports car

Old or new nsx? I could never justify spending 100k on what's essentially a old Honda. The new nsx is pretty sweet though.

i could. i love the old nsx so much, and the new one sucks, so yeah.

Honda should make a "budget" version of the NSX inspired by the original and follows the same formula at a $50k-70k price point.

Alternatively, they could bring back the S2K

Which would entail developing a brand new chassis, which means goodbye sub 30K price point. But they now have the ability to plaster the Type-R ideology onto something else, so who knows.

I'm willing to bet we see a sporty version of the ILX before we see a Type-S Civic coupe

well i heard honda might do something on its 75th anniversary, maybe bring something new based on a previous sports car, but that might be a while.

Crazy to think back in those days you had the V12 monsters (Lambo, Maserati) and then Nissan over here with a V8 swap GTR.

basically it's got the turbo 1.5 4, but instead of being super rev happy, it's just torquey, and i'm not sure how i feel about it. but at least it only comes in a manual.

Skimmed through it.

It it doesn't look atrocious like the type R does, and it has a manual. It's fine.

but yeah gone is the fun engines it seems.

turbos are fun but they don't have the same "character"

Yeah. Torque drives cars iin north America. Mr. Regular says its because the soccer moms go 'oh oh god shift! its getting close to the red'

Yeah people don't rev out their engines here. They want to be able to push the pedal and the car just go.

As soon as battery tech gets revised, electric cars are gonna be insanely popular here.

Also... I have a lightweight flywheel on the way. The heaviest ACT one.

Ive seen different numbers ranging from 13 all the way to 14.7 lbs for it though... weird lol.

Whatever it is, it's fine tho. Still lighter than 22 stock. And they say it doesn't affect everyday driveability very much.

Also when I drove my car yesterday to the shop we're working on it at; it had been 3 weeks since I last drove it. It was soooo nice! I forgot how much fun miatas are haha. There really isn't any other everyday cars that feel the same. It's wonderful

It's awful around here. All year round. Michigan is known to be the worst state in the US for Deer.I live 5 minutes from Michigan so we have all sorts of deer. It's terrifying, because hitting one at 40-50 is typically enough to total a car with how big they are

We've got deer and moose over here. Real happy about the great high beams on the camaro. And the big brakes.

Hitting one of these would suck

We also have wolves, boar and badgers. They also suck to hit. Especially boar.
