I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

How so?

That is fantastic! We had the 4wd version lol :)

At least they had the balls to admit it was japanese!

Why didn't they do that for the Talon, or the Starion?

Who knows! Lol. But I love the fact Chrysler jumped for mitsubishi in the late 80's and kept them as part of the tradition until ~2000.

They weren't really hiding anything.

It was obvious with the Stealth, Talon, and so on.

What didn't they do with the Talon/Starion?

Openly admit the engine, chassis, and trans/engine designs were from mitsubishi! Chrysler admitted it for one or two vehicles, but hid the secret of mitsubishi parts across their entire product line pretty damn well.

Not super into cars, but we own two Subaru Outbacks, an '02 and an '04. And *shudders* a P.T. Cruiser, which my dad made even more hideous by painting the top half blue and leaving the bottom silver.

We're in Vermont, so Outbacks are basically the unofficial state car :D

MPVs are impossible to find here. The reason is they don't fare well in winter. Even the AWD versions. Only Mitsubishi/Honda/Toyota engines seem to start up here. We'd have a fucking dreadful time with the Astro where it just wouldn't fire in the mornings. Even with a block heater.

In it's defense, it was -45F outside.

Well, probably people were probably treating MPVs like crap there, especially maintenance, like forgetting oil changes, cooling system flushes, you know. I think second gen MPVs probably can fare well better in winter since they have an engine block heater, but it's FWD, so it's probably just gonna slip and slide around in the snow.

this is probably the only place i'll hang out anymore: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/274320-the-long-awaited-car-thread/

Any Evo fans around?

Here's My '04 Evo VIII MR from Sydney, Australia.

Usual bolt on mods (350hp atw), pretty mild but i'd rather be driving it than fixing it due to high horsepower issues... still lots of fun on the street and track.

I haven't seen the best of luck from them. They're usually on the side of the road, or sitting in driveways after I help push them there. xD

Thats good. Once they are replaced with a better head gasket, you should never have any problem. I had a ton of fun with mine on gravel roads. On gravel, it is fairly easy to get the rear to kick out even with only 170 hp. :P

Haven't had any big issues that I know of with it, but it barely got used after my old Odyssey got a big stereo upgrade, and now that I have this new(er) one the MPV pretty much just collects dust. lol
