Apology owed to people

First of all, let me apologize for my attitude in that post.

 

i was having one of the crappiest days ever. now the obnoxious bit i was on about was the "Well we dont want to know" comment, kinda annoyed me a bit. 

If you want to know what im on about, just look for the "CHARGED TWICE FOR FLOATPLANE" thread.

 

Now i should have just ignored the comment and moved on, i did message the floatplane support and as of yet still heard nothing.

Anyway i cannot excuse my behavior in that thread and im sorry. ( the first reply i got could have been less obnoxious ( it has been edited but its still in my quote on there ) but thats online life )

thank you @colonel_mortis for getting back to me in that thread and also i apologize fir my shitty reply.

i hope you guys can look past my immaturity in that situation.

I do worse when I haven't gotten enough sleep, I get pretty savage & stupid in the 36-48 range of "have slept since x"

Good on you for apologizing. Most people wouldn't bother in real life, let alone on a forum where, realistically, you're very unlikely to ever met the people you talk to. Respect +10.

Also I read your post and how you said "dont agree with CES being a reason" is just a joke thing to say. If you "have been with LTT for a while" then you have seen the staff the day after they get back from CES, tired, beat, no voice, bags under their eyes....and you expect them to still have time to get back and refund you a $3 as if its life threatening. 

 

They dont own you or anyone who acts like you an apology at all, even though Linus and the staff will apologize anyway because they do care but are incredible busy.

This is really mature act from you. Mistakes happen all the time. And you have your right as customer to complain

But whether to take it into extreme over spare change or overpriced bad product with lousy customer support, not offering any assistance. That's the point where bad decisions are made.

I kinda read the whole context of this post wrong I guess. Read the title as in Apology owned to people as in us from LTT. Early morning, no coffee, mistakes were made lol

I don't think you were out of line, and yeah that first guy was being a dickhole. Paying customers deserve a reasonable degree of transparency and support. It doesn't matter how much the service costs.

 

That said, I didn't dig too deep into how long your responses were delayed, so that isn't a dig at floatplane.

 

1 week is a reasonable amount of time for customer support to provide a transparent and non-BS answer, so hopefully that's what they did before you brought it to the messageboard.

Personally speaking I feel this kind of this is more appropriated done through a personal message given it is a delicate situation and dragging the attention to more people about the original incident isn't very ideal.

 

You do not owe any one an apologize, even to the staff, you break the CS you get the punishment and move on, if you realize you were wrong you simply fix your mistake by preventing it from happening again.
