Youtube asks you to rewind the video after watching

A rough from german to english translation:

 

One of the Youtube Managers Susuan Wojcicki said:

 

In the time of video tapes, you were supposed to rewind them before bringing them back to the rental store, else there were fines. 

 

This was a useful habit. Right now we are having employed more than 84000 people, working around the clock, that do nothing else then rewind seen youtube videos, so that other customers can see them from start. 

 

If watchers don't rewind their seen videos there will be punishments like a few days block from consuming youtube videos. After not rewinding a seen video for 3 times, a 5 days blockage from youtube, if repeated up to a month. If repeated even further some other measures will be taken like an automaticly forced video only. For example the Song "How it is (wap bap..) form the user channel Bibi.

lol...suuuuure. We're supposed to believe a video will magically start mid vid for someone else using an entirely different device. If this were true, every single video would be screwed up. I know Google has lots of employees, but no way does it have 80k people touching millions of video every second.

 

A little early for April Fool's day

 

Edit: Unless this is for videos *you* watched where the progress is where you last left it, in which case that's for *your* eyes and doesn't make sense regardless as no one is touching it.

Wow someone is out about four months early with their April fools... 

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Is it April already ? This surely sounds like that because youtube can remember where in the video I  stopped watching and can go back to it later. Surely it can reset. I call massive BS with capital B and capital S.

no, all those time it hasent reset is because the workers havent gotten around to your video! /s

Yeah, you should also rewind cd/dvd/bluray discs, and when you're done with that find me a left handed hammer xD
