Christmastime at the LTT Forums: How Do You Decorate Your House?

Just as the title says, how do you decorate your house for Christmas?

Our family has a tree at the corner of the living room with lights inside the windows and out on the front of the house. Unfortunately we haven't gone far with decorations yet.

There's a fake Christmas tree in the living room corner with white lights and crystal ornaments. And then we have some lights on our palm trees outside.

Three foot tree that is real not plastic.  Lights around the room but they're up all year wrong.  Christmas candle holders at the entertainment system.  Also my stocking hanging from below the soundbar.

And that's my toes under my Hello Kitty comforter as a chillax on the couch.

I don't generally decorate much but we found this small usb powered tree that we got a few years back at Target.

I didn't decorate much years ago, with my wife we didn't decorate much, and now alone again, I don't decorate much.. 

 

the living room you could call x-mas room if you like. We painted the walls in a nice green, else dark wooden furniture, and the couch has a nice red color... candles I/we have all year long.

No actual PC in this case yet, I just wanted to make sure the lights would work out with the case because I'll be getting the CPU on the 22nd and doing a build with the case

My family pulls out our Christmas tree around Christmas (It's short/fake. Has lights embedded in the stems. Just plug in and turn on.) We usually put up stockings we got on the wall and that's about it.

 

We keep the stuff outside and we've had like 2-3 people get in our yard this year, so hopefully the stuff is still out there. Otherwise we won't be doing our tidbit of decor. Not really a big deal to decorate, we just do the little we do out of force of habit/tradition, I guess.

 

I set the lights in my case to orange for Halloween. (Someone tweeted about doing it. Asus ROG I think? Can't remember) Maybe I'll do RGB for Christmas. It's something.

Throwing up a fake tree in the corner. Few old ass signs in the front yard. Maybe RGB my room this year instead of conventional Xmas lights.

I don't. Two single dudes in an apartment, we don't even have girlfriends to come over and force decorations upon us.

I have a ton of wrapping supplies laying around though. I suppose that counts for something?

I miss real trees. Though apparently there can be up to 250 spiders, plus spider eggs in them. Fucking terrifying.

13 days to Christmas and we still don't have a tree up.

At least we have the lights up.

I actually used to put up real trees for years. Those endless falling needles were a headache. But I really do miss that pine smell. Completes the Christmas feel.

I've never had a real tree but maybe next year that's something @Dan Castellaneta and I can do when I get down there

We never did decorate much until this year... 

Got a Christmas tree with red and white-ish golden lights, and some other small decorations. It’s right in front of the window so anyone can enjoy our cool tree  

(It’s also my profile pic, because why not?)

Plus, we put up some white and multicolored lights outside, which are on 24/7

 

That’s about it for now, though. We’ve got a whole bunch of animals so we can’t really afford having a lot of stuff out

Used to decorate a lot more, in better times when I was off with the ex we over decorated you might say.

This year though, don't even have lights up, nor a tree. Kind of disappointing, but with all the renovations to the house right now can't really find the effort to put more stuff up when we're working on getting most of this stuff out.

 

Might go around and pickup a tree though at least so my little sister can at least get that as Christmas decoration this year. Plus I absolutely adore the aroma pine leaves in your house. forest backpacker through and through.

I've thought about watching it but I always forget, and I'm not sure how good it'll be

Totally, it's the best. What with handvacs being quite cheap and I imagine LED lights being less of a fire hazard, I was almost tempted to get one.

I whip out the mayonez and vodka, throw on some hardbass, and celebrate Christmas like true Slav.

 

Also make some buterbrod with kompot on occasion, but I do that year-long
