1tb hdd

8gb ddr3

wanting to know if upgrading my ram would help games run better and the os or is it not really worth it ?

seems to run games fine i mean the only game what isnt best is call of duty ww2 but if i turn graphics down to 1366 768 its fine thats the only game cant run in 1080p cuz it just stutters everywhere maybe thats ram ? im not sure just asking if theres a point in upgrading it what will it help ?

up grade to ddr4 if you can that's all with ram but it would be better to upgrade your cpu and gpu first for better perforance

I'm more worried about your GPU. 1050 2GB doesn't cut it for 1080p. I'm replacing my AMD 7950 which is similar to a 1050 Ti for a GTX 1060 6GB.

You can't just upgrade a 4690k system to DDR4...

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Yes, if he changed platforms and replaced the motherboard and CPU then RAM would have to change too

OS  : Windows 10

RAM : maybe upgrade to 12 GB, should be cheap on DDR3

GPU : 1050 TI would be a very small bottleneck, so go with the TI versio of a 1050.

Best option is to get more ram and a better GPU.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | CPU Cooler: Stock AMD Cooler | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) | RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 | GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB Zotac Mini | Case: K280 Case | PSU: Cooler Master B600 Power supply | SSD: 1TB  | HDDs: 1x 250GB & 1x 1TB WD Blue | Monitors: 24" Acer S240HLBID + 24" Samsung  | OS: Win 10 Pro

Yeah 8gb of system memory is perfectly balanced with the rest of your system.[

If you want better performance at games change the GTX 1050 for a GTX 1060 6gb or RX 580 4GB, keep the rest as is.

u need to turn down resolution coz ur ur GPU btw, it doesnt have enough vram in the first place ... u should lower settings such as shadows and what not ifu want to run 1080p

You're extremely more limited by your video card than by your system memory.

hmm i mean maybe thats why call ww2 stutters RIDICULOUSLY > cuz it only stutters when i look straight ahead xD like in the distance maybe its my ram too low for the game or could just be my rubbish graphics card of course but i mean it runs assassins creeed untiy n syndicate on 1080p high so why not call of duty ? i though it would be good optimized idk maybe its not ram
