They're alright. Ryzen 5 would have been better as youre only gaming at 1080p 60hz though, then extra cores for whatever you have running or do at the same time.

Why care about synthetic benchmarks? real world performance is going to be good enough for most triple A titles at 1080p

Not even synthetic bench marks, games are (slowly) starting to utilize more cores, look at PUBG for example, it can now use up to 6. Pretty sure Destiny 2 also utilizes more than 4 too.

 

It won't be (too)long before more games follow suit and move away from only utilzing four.

Like already explained, you should make this question BEFORE you buy any thing, you have wasted a lot of money as my locked i7 6700 was much cheaper and outperforms your i5 regardless how far you manage to OC it, and we have Coffee Lake releasing by the end of the week more or less.

If you're transferring huge files quite often or doing video editing, NVMe is worth it. 

 

If you're essentially anybody else, it's not worth it.

The speed boost makes very very little difference in the real world over SATA SSDs.

A Ryzen 5 1600X would have been better for content creation, video encoding and other workloads that benefit from more cores (6 cores and hyperthreading vs 4 cores and no hyperthreading) and within the same price range, actually a little cheaper at $199 on Amazon US right now.

 

For gaming it won't make much of a difference though with the i5 7600k actually winning out in a few benchmarks I've seen. 

 

Overall I'd say it's a solid build, have fun with it!
