Why do I have a feeling there's a much larger thread about this?

Can I ask that everyone who posts desktops using Rainmeter skins to mention what skins they are please? That would be super helpful for those of us who like trying new skins...and then promptly going back to a normal desktop 

 

Also, I'm using Wallpaper Engine so my background is a looping video:

Pretty nice, the right monitor must be great for IRC chats.

Here's my desktop, it's got no desktop icons because I never use desktop icons. Even the bin, I just straight delete files without going first to a bin. As you can see, I follow my purple theme extremely closely.

 

 

I hide my taskbar because I want more screen to myself, so it's set to pop up when I need it. Here's what I have in my taskbar though. The usual suspects.

It's quite nice, considering it's a windows laptop. If the application "Defraggler" is used for defragging hard drives, delete it. Windows has this function built in.

Yes, I don't like any icons or files on desktop, I hide my taskbar and the only thing i have is calendar from Rainlendar.

As you can see from the screenshot; my DE uses only about 500-600 MB on idle. I can very comfortably browse the internet (Firefox) without too much lag, although my browsing mostly consists of Reddit, YouTube & Netflix; so I can't say what would happen if I tried visiting heavier sites (e.g. Facebook). As for gaming, I can run Torchlight II on low settings at about 30 FPS, but that's pretty much the extent of my testing, I've decided to just use Steam's In-Home Streaming for gaming. Overall the system performance is a bit better than you would expect, but you wouldn't be able to multitask much without having to hit the swap partition every now and then
