Pretty sure the smartest man in the universe wouldn't fry his rig by not realizing he plugged in a molex wrong but hey, who am I to judge?

I'm not sure what the point of a TUF series board with the midrange chipset is聽:P聽isn't it better to just spare a little more and go for the top of the line chipset on a less "boutique" motherboard?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please聽馃え

Well, most X370s (MSI, Gigabyte K5 and K3, Asus Prime X370 Plus same as Strix B350) have shitty VRMs so you dont really get anything with that, if you need SLI then you are probably looking for high-end X370

The VRMs on B350 arent enough for that, they overheat.

VRM design are different from board to board, across chipsets. It will all depend on the specific case each time.聽

I absolutely hate trash youtubers like ScienceStudio who recommended MSI B350 Gaming Plus just because "it looks good" and said "ideal board for anyone who doesnt need SLI or 8 sata ports". He doesnt even know how shitty product does he recommend

I'm not sure, but I think calling it 'shitty' is a bit, you know, too much, I suppose.

I'd best most people buying those boards would be just OC'ing even their R7 1700 or lower, on the stock cooler, at stock voltages, at 3.7 GHz, and calling it a day. Are you seriously calling the mobos with supposedly 'crap' VRM, well, utter crap, just because they can't handle voltages that 99% of people wouldn't budge on?

P.S. Not anything to defend聽Salad Studio. I prefer my Tech Deals and Linus over him all day.

It isnt capable of staying under 90掳C with any R7 overclock. The stock R7 will put already huge stress on the VRMs. Give the VRM "heatsinks" and you have one hell of a fire hazard.

A situation bit better than 970 Krait with FX 8 core

Okay.

Do you have any articles or sources confirming such things?

Gigabyte uses crappy highside mosfets. From my talk with buildzoid and from the spec sheets i know that they have low current output (plus low maximum) and higher heat ouput. High RDS(on) and buildzoid says they are pretty unstable with higher temps

Pretty sure buildzoid said you would be fine with overclocking an聽8 core on the boards with proper VRM heatsinks.聽

No. Every manufacturer decides for each model. They may use the same design and components in several models. However, there is still no restriction on which design they can pair with a particular chipset.聽

It's like we are back to the 970 va 990FX misconceptions...聽
