Looking for non-violent games.

Hey!

 

 

I am looking for some steam games to play, but my parents aren't big on me playing anything "violent" (which is really annoying) (violent = it's has guns and/or blood/gore.)

 

I already have:

Portal 1 and 2

Undertale

ABZU

Subnautica

Stardew Valley

Fallout Shelter

Turbo Dismount

Minecraft

Terraria

 

Can you recommend any non-violent steam games? (Preferably first person games, as I like those, but anything else is appreciated too.)

Modded Minecraft. Huge time waster.

 

Try playing Terraria without using any guns and turning off the gore.

I know it's not on steam but The Sims is nice if you are into those kind of games. Or games such as PlanetCoaster or Cities Skyline. And if you are looking to play fun little games multiplayer, Golf with Friends is good. Or slightly violent, Ultimate Chicken Horse.

Bully is bloodless and tho it's not 1st person i've heard it is a great alternative to open world games such as GTA V.

Rocket League is awesome. The skill ceiling is insane, you can spend your life trying to get better, fast pace car football action.

I'd throw in Firewatch, Gone Home, and the newly-released Tacoma.

 

If you want more Portal-like first person puzzle gameplay, you might like The Turing Test. Personally I found it lacking personality and interesting gimmicks to the point of being a bit boring.

Do Star Wars guns count? Or do they just not want you shooting people with "real" guns. 'Cause most Star Wars shooters aren't very violent (Republic Commando has a little gore though).

The Witness is a really cool first person puzzle game. Braid is highly worth checking out also, and is probably the game most responsible for jump-starting interest in the indie scene that's now such a big part of modern gaming. I don't know if your parents would classify Guacamelee as violent or not, since I guess it could be considered violent the same way Bugs Bunny cartoons are, but Guacamelee is a lot of fun too.

Any racing game I guess.  My vote is for Forza Horizon 3, although you won't get that from Steam.
