Cheaper liquid coolers. Value for money?

OK so I've been looking into getting an AIO for a few weeks now and I'm trying to find out if certain cheaper ones will perform close to an expensive one. So far I've been looking at the likes of an Uphere 240 cooler which is really cheap, an Arctic Freezer 240 and a Cooler Master Liquid Master 240. I've looked at the results of these all being compared but that can vary widely depending on setups.

 

So basically is there any cheap-ish ones that can still do a good job to give you value for your money? I know Corsair ones are great but are more expensive and Linus always mentions money to performance as in sometimes it's better to compare what you're spending to what percent better or worse what you're buying is, to get the best value.

 

Also @H0R53 we were talking about this but I'd rather have it in the right section if we're talking water coolers so what is the Uphere like? Has it got 3 or 4 pin fans and pump and is the pump that loud etc? I can't seem to find much about them at all considering they're cheap but they've got good reviews on Amazon. It looks like the person with the Silverstone is probably gonna let me down so I need to look into other solutions. Don't wanna bother you but just since you said you have one and I can't find too much info on them if you don't mind helping me out. Thanks.

some are simply cheaper because they dont have a bunch of RGB stuff and only a simple plastic pump cover. ARctic coolers are also Asetek like NZXT or other ones which have a good reputation

I've actually been thinking about getting one of the Noctua air coolers everyone's talking about but I was thinking of going with an AIO just to save some space in my case and I'm sure lots of coolers should perform better than my 212 EVO. If I do go AIO I want a 240mm not a 120mm. About the Arctic cooler, any idea if it would that fit in a Kolink Vault since I have one arriving tomorrow. I was planning to get either the Silverstone, Cooler Master or Arctic ones listed in the OP. there's one more in a shop near me called the Akasa Venom A20 240mm but reviews say that's being out performed by other 120mm radiators.

 

EDIT: Actually any good 280mm ones since that case surprisingly takes them, if they perform better?

Speaking from personal experience:

 

I bought mine "open box" for $65.

The fans are 120mm PWM fans that light up and are very bright, but get loud. I replaced them as soon as I took the cooler out of its packaging.

 

The radiator itself is made of high quality aluminum, or at least plated copper. The black finish is nice but I'd prefer open aluminum.

 

The fittings are good, they don't bend at all and they swivel nicely around a single axis.

 

The tubes are firm rubber and are definitely supple for an AiO. I've built PCs with H100i's and I will say the tubing is about the same.

 

The pump itself is a full copper plate, and feels heavy enough to do its job properly. It comes with AMD support and its own mount and fittings. I had no trouble with it.

 

As far as noise goes, replace the fans immediately. The pump is so quiet I don't even notice it - the 3 7.2K and 2 5.4K drives are the loudest things in my rig, even at idle.

 

The fans I have now aren't the best, but they are quiet and move a good amount of air over the radiator. On my 80W Xeon, with MX4 paste, temps are 35-40 at idle and 60-65 under load depending on whether or not i have my air conditioner on.

 

The pump goes off of a 3-pin 12v header.

 

I haven't noticed any change now as when I first installed it a month ago.

 

As for the combined noise of the pump and my replacement fans?

 

I can hear my laptop's fan idling over my main PC.

Firstly, no. If it were to leak and ruin my PC, someone like cooler master would probably be far easier to deal with than "uphere", and secondly coolers like the noctual nhu12s and other good coolers are quieter than most, if not all aio coolers.

upHere, as far as I've dealt with, have had great return policies and have offered to cover the cost of my 1050ti if it leaked. I was very skeptical and asked beforehand about their warranty.

It's practically two normal coolers stuck together. and looks boss, and costs $75 on Newegg. 

That looks massive lol. I'm confused as to which option to go with but I need something better for this CPU than the 212. I had to go with the Kolink in green because they hadn't got red (my mobo has red LEDs) so I'm hoping the green and red go well and I have no idea which CPU cooler to choose. I'm going to have a window on the case so I'll always see it.

 

I  suppose the likes of Uphere have to start somewhere and work their way up too. The case says 165mm clearance and takes 240/280mm radiators on the top or front.

While they are based somewhere in Asia and their English isn't very good the rep I spoke with was very knowledgeable about their products.

 

I bought the 120mm AiO they had for another PC, and the fan wires were soldered on backwards. I contacted them and they sent me another.

 

I mean I just replaced the fan myself, but they are courteous and stand behind their warranties. I have that 120mm sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting for the right build.

Too much clutter for me. My d92 was too big for my tastes.

 

It does have an aesthetic to it, but I think more uniform coolers are cleaner looking. My d92 looked very nice and filled the empty space well, but for me it was too loud. If it was quieter I probably would have kept it.

@H0R53 It's called a Kolink Vault and it comes in blue, red or green. Red was out of stock so I picked green. I'll put up pics tomorrow if the case arrives after I build it of what it's like in person but for now here's what I have. This case is nothing special it was just a quick pick a few years ago because I needed full ATX. I wouldn't recommend it. Awful I/o ports and everything. It has AC97 also come on like it's not 1990 anymore.

The Arctic freezer outperform high end corsair/nzxt aio's.  Uphere seems ok but the ARCTIC is insanely good value.
