I am not getting the iPad, it's almost $500, the screen quality is a bit better than average but this is not super important to me.

Wut??? Must be a crappy Apple store then. At the one I go to, the employees are awesome, and are never pushy or try to get you to buy stuff. How did they scam her?

Can be tricky for oder people. My aunt (actually my Mum's aunt, so my great aunt) is also hopeless at tech. Just got a call (literally as I was typing this) and Outlook has magically stopped working.

i stumbled upon a job opening for my local apple store once.. explained one or two things..

- ALL of them are on commission, and not by a small margin seeing the cost of the devices they sell.

- they dont really search for people who know tech, but more so people who are enthousiastic about the brand

- there's regular brainwashing sessions trainings to bring you up to speed on the latest apple stuff

- they have no alternatives to compare against, everything under the roof is apple.

200 cad and told her things like this is a good deal for a device like this and most other brands at lower price points are as big as a cellphone and would be uncomfortable to go to the gym and things like that. when that is relly just not true.

So they wouldn't want to hire me, would they... I'd be happy to sell Apple stuff, but not at the expense of someone overpaying for their needs or feeling cheated.

That was an example found in under 30 seconds, she did not need a radio, I can find more examples. I will now ignore this as I consider it a waste of time and not related to what I asked.
