Please keep the OP needs in mind, he mentioned multiple times before that he's in Canada and can't spend more than $300 CAD (not USD).

i did zero research on this one, just the first one off NCIX, 170CAD, just tossing this one in as a start to move away from a rant about ipads.

This tablet seems okay for what you are looking for, ASUS makes a good product.

Yeah, maybe. I did mock the apple fanboyism so that might have also been the cause. Oh well. Anyway, that tablet seems more than good for what you are looking to do. good screen and long(ish) battery life. Can't ask for much more in a low cost youtube tablet.

The asus one or the cheapo off brand. if I'm going to get an Asus tab I would get this one http://a.co/gDyytpM  but is it worth the extra cost over the no name? I will most likely use this daily for around 3 years.
