Will CoffeLake be LGA 1151

I was just wondering if coffelake will be able to run on Z270 or Z170 and be LGA 1151.

It will most likely be on LGA1151 since it's not a new architecture, nor a die shrink. It's what Intel calls "optimization".

I've only seen rumors , but considering the chips will have a different , higher power envelope and higher draw , plus the 2-µarch-per-socket thing intel does, i'm fairly sure it'l be a different socket.

I'd hope for it to be on the current 1151, but who knows ?

Look back and they only keep the boards for two generations. There have been many leaks showing that it's going to be LGA 1151 V2, which is not compatible with LGA 1151.

Intel is making two "optimizations" since they apparently have trouble moving past 14nm.

Intel dropped TICK TOCK a while back, the chances are Coffee Lake will be SKT1151.

Intel said that it will be still using LGA 1151 socket and 200 series chipsets. 300 series chipsets will come with Cannon Lake CPU and they will be also using socket 1151.

Ok, thanks for all of the replies. I just hope it will work with the Z270 Chipset, and all we can do is wait and see
