Are you trying to overclock? Set the RAM to stock and try again.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

According to my manual, code A9 means Start of Setup. Did you change any settings or is this freshly built with first-time startup?

This should be normal; let it cycle a few times, then it should initialize.

Try DVI if that's available to you. It could be defaulting the display output to DVI.

Like Juruance said with that board anytime it's removed from power it will go through several boot cycles before it finally post. Can take a minute.

But if that doesn't work make sure everything is set to stock, and pull a stick of RAM. Then try it with the other dimm.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

You can do with a single 8-pin CPU power connector. The extra 4-pin helps balance current load under heavier overclocks with higher voltage settings.

Also you should update the BIOS to the latest version.

What 4 pin? Pull that, you don't need it and if you're using the wrong one that's your problem.

The 4-pin auxiliary connector for CPU power. I use that as well, helps balance the current load so that the 8-pin CPU connector isn't working too hard.

Yes, but it takes a CPU connection, not a VGA. Very rare a power supply has a 4 pin CPU power, but common to have a VGA 4pin.

The only VGA connectors I see are 6-pin and 8-pin. In all likelihood he's using the 6-pin PCIe connector in the 4-pin CPU auxiliary. The 4-pin and 8-pin CPU connectors takes connectors that are marked 'CPU'.

Both my power supplies have 4pin VGA cables, well not just 4pin but have a 4pin on the cable. I've seen motherboard that take a 4pin VGA for multicard support to the board and that 4pin CPU. But the 4pin CPU only helps when using LN2 or other exotic cooling.

4 pin is only needed for 1.675v upwards and slow boot with ln2 on our board

First set the ram to 2933MHz manually and the ram voltage to 1.35v. If when you reboot the power does NOT go out it held, if the power goes away for a monent it failled.

If it works try each option until you lose power rebooting.

PM me with your exact model of ram and I can help dial in the timings.

Have you messed around I the digital power control? Setting everything to level 5 and power to 110%?

Also, check your dram voltage. I cannot ever get mine to the number I plug in. My kit is rated at 1.4 volts but I have to run at 1.425 entered in the field to get it to actually go to 1.4, otherwise it's at like 1.37
