Meet Harmony, the most life-like sex doll ever created

Why, its legitimate tech news. Its creepy AF but its tech news.

creepy? no no no. This is the future.

If you look how society, especially in western world, is looking at men as easily replacable, this is what is going to make society, which is currently being "saturated" by over-metro-sexual men, beta males, white knights and "stronk independent wimminz who need no man", realize that men wont need them either XD.

And yes, this is a thing. More and more women is chosing fewer and fewer "types" of men as potential partners, simply due to women having A LOT more social and economical benefits being alone, and you wont realize this unless you think about it.

The reality is, there is a man for every woman, but there is NOT a woman for every man (despite there being more women then men on earth). This is because women, even outside the west, is no longer recquired to rely on a man to sustain herself OR a child. Single mothers can, atleast in western society, apply for so many benefits that a normal mother would have to make nearly 45-65,000 USD to match the amount of stuff they can get. Worst is, its not even BS, you just gotta USE the western health care and financial support system for what it is worth.

So since women, particularily in the west, is increasingly choosing to wait for "mr right" rather then find a "good enough" partner as they would just 25-30 years ago, it is now up to all the men who ISNT going to be good looking enough, rich enough, educated enough, athletic enough, famous enough etc... to get laid, to make sure everyone can have what they want. Sex.

This. This isnt creepy. It's a totally natural response to a social and sexual reality that has been 50+ years in the making. And there is nothing, NOTHING, that is going to change this situation for very many men.

Somebody wants to fuck a toaster with A.I. and suddenly people take issue with it

I s2g if this turns into some dumbass civil rights issue (irl, outside this forum; like same-sex marriage) on why robot-fucking should be illegal because it's weird and against God or some shit

Like if it's an ethical issue on A.I. sentience and rights, ok but i'm not gonna tell somebody not to fuck the microwave oven they bought at their local Wal-Mart when it doesn't involve me or hurt anybody

oh, but it WILL be a civil rights issue. Real flesh prostitution will die out in less then 50 years, real flesh will be a niche. As these robots will be easier to manage, unlikely to run away. Unlikely to snitch to the police. Unlikely to embezel the pimp and last but not least. nearly impervious to STDs. depending on maintenance of the machine, ofc.

And if real flesh prostitution is going to die out, how is all the college cheerleaders going to fund their college tuition and party lifestyle?

this wouldnt really affect the birth rates much. Womens biological clock will go "tick, tock". Just like today. This will only keep the stupid, ugly and beta males from breeding.

Nerds usually end up rich and "desirable" by their mid 40s.

If you want to increase birth rates in the west, there is only TWO ways to do it.

1. No government subsidies for abortions

2. Make men able to waive their rights to a child, thus not pay alimony (basically he agrees to never have any legal rights to that kid, cannot visit it, cannot contact it. And thus will not be paying alimony).

The only reasons women stay single today, is because men knock em up, then have to pay for it - REGARDLESS what he thinks. The whole idea is ludicrus given that a man can take every precaution, and the woman can too, yet if she gets pregnant, and keeps it, he is forced to pay alimony. In some countries, the woman can simply CLAIM he is the father and collect alimony without PROVING he is. And in the UK, the MAN CANNOT REQUEST A DNA PATERNITY TEST UNLESS THE MOTHER CONCENTS. Aka, she can lie, he cannot do shit about it, and still have to pay.

I wonder if sending these to places with skyrocketing birth rates would, possibly, indirectly help with population control.

nah, the areas with high birth rates, aka 3rd world/developing countries, are not going to affected by this. The point in these countries is to make SURE you get a lot of babies, because you dont have any retirement plans at all. The children is your retirement plan. You breed, to have them take care of you and help you at the homestead. The problem is that due to the west's interference in these areas, child mortality has fallen and lifespan increase several times more then the enviroment can handle.

it doesnt. No single mother kid is doing great. Unless they have "substitute parens" like grandparents acting like parents while the biological parent is at work.

Japan is very much a "western" country. It is by far a secular, liberal, democratic monarchy with extensive liberties and rights pertaining to marriage and women.

You don't think they thought of that? The one in Japan that you can buy for 250K has a full circulatory system that keeps it the same temp as a human and has the ability to cry and what not.

Why the fuck would you want it to cry? And 250K on a sex doll? Have these men not heard of sports cars and power boats to spend their fun money on? 250K (assuming USD) would get you a very well spec'd 911 Carrera, with plenty left over for tyres, track days etc...
