Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Hi, im deciding wether to get an EVGA GTX 1060 SC Gaming ACX 2.0 6144MB (Link) -> 258€ for me here in Germany or an MSI RX 580 Armor 8G OC (Link) -> 254€ for me here in Germany or an Sapphire Radeon RX 580 PULSE 8GB (Link) @ 265€ Im really uncertain about those cards as they are pretty much on the same level (performance wise) from what I have read/seen with each card doing better in some games. Im only gaming at 1080p (no plans to go higher for now) and no AAA-Titles (and if then it doesn't need to be max settings) and I want that card to stay around for quite some time (~4-5 years) just like my HD6950 I bought in 2012. EDIT: My System is the following: Core i5 2500k (not overclocked but I have a AiO so I might go ahead and do some overclocking) XFX Radeon HD 6950 Gigabyte P67A-D3-B3 12GB DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws 256GB Samsung 850 Evo 1TB HDD I know its pretty old but still doing its job (except the HD6950) EDIT 2: After comparing the two 580's I decided to go with the one from Sapphire, thanks a lot to every one who helped me out on this Any recommondations from you guys? (for other cards to suggest, my pricepoint was 200-270 €) I could see the RX 580 ahead with more headroom in terms of driver tuning and Vulkan support becoming a thing but again, unsure^^ I hope you guys can help me out on this one ;-) regards Alkahna Edited May 15, 2017 by Alkahna picked my card
 With a 2500K, especially at stock, i'd advise to get the 1060. Pascal Undervolting topic, get more out of your card with less power! Posted May 8, 2017 Author @Majestic why that? and though not right now I might upgrade the cpu next then and from the current standpoint I might actually swap teams on the cpu side over to team red^^ So then the 580 would make more sense in that case I guess
 But a sandy bridge is not enough to fully saturate a 580, especially in titles like Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, etc. Pascal Undervolting topic, get more out of your card with less power!
