Suggest some good movie to watch. No horror movies. No romance. I like action movies. I have Netflix and HBO Nordic. Checked out some IMDb lists and some other crap sites with taboola ads and most of them seemed rather boring or old. I don't like 90s green screen, it makes me want to puke when I see Sean Connery "driving" a car as James Bond with that horrible green screen on the back of the car.

The movie is entirely inaccurate.  Regardless of whatever character Tom Cruise is supposed to be representing.  I know the history of the Bakufu, the Boshin War and the period afterwards.  Tom Cruise wasn't portraying Jules Brunet.  Jules Brunet did not partake in the Satsuma Rebellion that the character played by Tom Cruise was supposed to have taken part in on the side of Saigo Takamori (the character that Ken Watanabe is supposed to represent).  And Saigo Takamori and his rebels did not fight using swords and medieval armor, they used modern (for that era) weapons and tactics.

("Its basically about a criminal who drives a car to live...literally")

maybe Boss Baby, I haven't watched it myself but the trailers seem awesome. I don't recommend anyone thinking about watching Boss Baby to watch the trailer. It completely ruins the entire experience, in my opinion.

I already said, Tom Cruise's character while it may share similarities to Jules Brunet, is completely inaccurate.  Jules Brunet fought in the Boshin War, NOT in the Satsuma Rebellion.  The Last Samurai took place years after the end of the Boshin War.

 

Saigo Takamori, the character Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe) is supposed to represent, fought alongside the Anti-Shogunate forces during the Boshin War.

@Underi- I normally recommend this as a Christmas special, but Tokyo Godfathers is one of my favourite films of all time and I think there's something in it for everyone to enjoy. 

 

If you're interested in Japanese animated films, here are some more recommendations; although you may have already seen them, given their popularity-
