You're the doctor. My computer is the patient.

I recently upgraded my GTX 750ti to an RX 470. Since then, I have experienced countless issues. Know that on an earlier post I realized I never uninstalled the Display Drivers using a DDU, but since then all of the Nvidia drivers were removed successfully. Please review my computer's symptoms. Any possible diagnoses of what could be wrong is greatly appreciated. Symptoms are listed in chronological order of their appearance.

-Stuttering in GTAV (Very high settings, would stutter as low as 40 fps, noticed GPU clock stuttering, but the temps never exceeded 50 degrees C)

-Daily BSODs (Driver-related, mostly to AMD drivers (Likely because there were drivers for two GPUs installed at that time), almost always occurring within 5 minutes of waking/turning on the computer after hours of sleep/off)

*At this point, thanks to the help of you all, I uninstalled all display drivers and reinstalled AMD ones only.*

-BSODs related to Drivers that never before acted up or for disconnected devices (I had my Razer mouse give me a BSOD, so I reinstalled that driver. Next it was a webcam driver that has been disconnected for weeks)

-Unusually high CPU load when opening applications (usually spikes to upwards of 90%, then gradually declines back to a reasonable state)

-Netflix app Audio Video tearing (The frame would stop for a second, as the audio kept playing. Then, the audio would freeze as the frame caught up. Occurred about every 5 minutes)

I know these things are seemingly unrelated, but I had zero of these issues before "upgrading" my graphics card. Any ideas? Most of them seem video-related and driver-related. I plan to boot into safe mode, uninstall all drivers, and reinstall only what is necessary. Should I return the card? Avast Antivirus has detected no malware, but I am not sure on how trustworthy its databases are.

Thanks for reading, I tried to be as concise as possible. I am also using Whocrashed to monitor BSOD logs. Please let me know if you have any ideas on how to diagnose the problem(s) and take steps to fix them. Thank you so much! Albeit my struggles, I'm still a strong backer of PCMR!!!

If you are using Windows 10, there is a bug where sometimes when it detects and installs new hardware, it will slow down windows and cause driver issues causing it to crash. The only thing I can tell you is to reinstall windows then.

Do you have more information on this bug? Or any idea on a name I could research?

The only thing I can think of is run DDU if possible. Otherwise the only thing I can think of is to reinstall Windows, I already know that would work perfectly because it happens all the time to me.

Run DDU in Safe Mode.

Go into the Device Manger, show hidden devices, find the display adapters or VGAs, and delete everything there including the GTX driver.

If all else fails (seems like it sort of has), reinstall Windows. Full wipe.

Okay. I'll run DDU again tonight and make sure the files are indeed deleted via device manager.

It's a Corsair RMi 750W. Plenty of juice. I'm convinced that it's driver errors, not power-related.

Full reinstall would be your best bet.

Not the easiest, but would defiantly get rid of any software-related issues
