  1. Oh, I haven't tried them(recently), but I remember Luke saying they know about them, but it was on the back burner.
  2. I've posted this before, but do Pin the Tail on the motherboard. A blind, one handed test to install a GPU/pci-e device into the mobo.
  3. no, lol. you're mistaking 1 and 2 sticks for 2 and 4. AM4 Ryzen can't do Quad-Channel. 2 sticks get you the best performance.
  4. Please dont highlight your text holy crap. I've used Intel, and AMD AsRock BIOS's and never had an issue with it being "clunky"..
  5. They should be fairly well paired. You're slightly cpu limited. It depends on the game though. You can check yourself! Open taskmanager, then launch your game. play your game for a bit. then, return to task manager. You will see what is limiting what. If you have 100% CPU usage, and 60% GPU, you can get more fps if you upgrade your CPU.
  6. Is your CPU overclocked? Those temps look high even for the OEM cooler... it should idle in the mid 30's. Try re-installing your CPU cooler
  7. I can't say that for sure, but it COULD be that. CPU's do this ocasionally, where they spike temps. its not an issue.
  8. Yeah, double NAT is an issue. Dont do that. Connect the PC directly to the first router and you'll have no problems.
  9. I have a SP ssd, its 3 years old. Now, i wouldnt recommend one though.
  10. The problem with jamming 12 cores into a small desktop cpu is how much heat it puts out in such a little space. I would almost BET that those issues are because of a buggy bios on the x470 board
  11. Just updating this OLD post incase anyone stumbles across it. The person i was setting this up for has TiVo, and tivo has IFTTT integrations. We bought a google home, and I configured it to change channel when you say "Hey Google, channel 12"
  12. For what you want, you seem to have done a good job. The motherboard will not require the additional 4 pin PSU connector. I would suggest not buying a Windows 10 license, and rather use it while its not activated. This will save you that $135, and will only leave a watermark, and will disable some customization options. If it causes you an issue, then you can activate windows later no problem.
  13. It doesn't matter what EVGA says about a minimum recommended PSU. Those numbers are VERY conservative and you should do your OWN calculations, and then add ~ 25%. I could run two 2080's in SLI with a 3900x on a 750watt psu and everything would be fine.
