Yup. For like 20 minutes if I reloaded the page I had about a 1/10 chance of the page loading.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

Quote

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

So maybe that's why at the end there was something checking for a ddos attack...

Don't you have some cloudfare protection against ddosing though?

Yes, the Cloudflare DDoS protection is why you are seeing the DDoS interstitial before you can access the site, and is why we are currently up.

No, the attack was made through Cloudflare, hence turning on the DDoS protection mitigating it.

Still even letting the forum go offline shouldnt be for Cloudflare, its not always-on.....

How about changing the webserver to LiteSpeed? It has included DDoS Protection mechanisms.

There's only so much local software can do to mitigate an attack of this size. There is almost no advantage for us moving to LiteSpeed.

The forum's actual IP is not, the Cloudflare IP is.

Those are Cloudflare's IPs, not ours.

EXACTLY! You can go to http://www.crimeflare.com to find the actual IP though.

Our actual current IP is not available on that site :)
